Prayer For Someone In Trouble With The Law
God, you are just and you are merciful. You have given authority governments to establish and maintain justice in the affairs human relationships. Your justice is perfect; our interpretation and application of it is not. We respect and submit to the decisions of our government, but we also can appeal for consideration and reconsideration. We can press and argue our case. When we do, we ask for truth to prevail, for sympathy and wisdom and discernment and impartiality on the part of those serving judgment. We do not ask for an avoidance of justice, but for truth, and in the end for mercy to balance truth. We are all in need of mercy. For those struggling with legal issues, bring them peace and confidence. Let justice prevail in their case. And after justice, let mercy and pardon in the right form and balance shield them. If they need to pay the cost of a bad choice, give them the grace for this. If their charge can be dropped, and limited, then somehow let that mercy prevail. Teach them how to grow through this trial. Show them more of you and your ways. God, enter this case as judge, jury, and defense attorney. We trust you now and always. In Jesus
Dear Lord God, and Heavenly Father,
I know you are most merciful, loving and understanding. And with that, I call on you and beg for your favor in the legal case that I am facing.
I ask that you talk to the hearts of those who made the charges, and to the hearts of those who preside over my case. I ask that you give myself, and my attorney, the will and strength to prevail over these matters I face in the coming months.
I also ask that you talk to the hearts of those who know me to give them understanding of my case. I ask that in the end, I am protected, guided over by your angels here on earth, and in heaven, both spiritual and in flesh, and that I may move forward with my life.
I also pray for forgiveness of any wrong doing on my part, and on part of my violators. I ask this in the name of your son Jesus, through the intercession of St. Jude, amen
Heavenly Father, you are my strength and my song. You are worthy of all my praise, no matter what my circumstances are. When I look to Jesus' death and resurrection I see the greatest victory that has already been won on my behalf. I pray that I would find confidence in that victory and that I would live my life in the light of your love, whatever may be happening around me. Help me, Father. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Father, I ask You to help me as I face this legal battle. I thank You for being a very present help in time of trouble. I open my heart to the Holy Spirit to reveal any of my own disobedience in this matter so that I may repent and receive Your forgiveness. Deliver me from hate and revenge.
In the Name of Jesus, I ask You to cause truth to prevail. I pray that You will protect me from lying tongues and deceitful lips. I believe and declare that no weapon formed against me will prosper, and any tongue unjustly rising against me will be shown to be wrong. I will dwell in Your secret place, which hides me from the strife of tongues. I pray that you will stop false witnesses that speak against me and cause them to be caught in their own trap. Help me as I reply in defense. Let Your Spirit give me the words to say when I need them.
By an act of my will, I refuse to fear, and I cast down any imagination that tries to exalt itself above the knowledge of You and Your love.
In the Name of Jesus, I now cast the care of this court case upon You. I resist anxiety, and I receive calmness and peace. I believe that Your favor and the favor of man will surround me like a shield.
Your Word says You will perfect that which concerns me, so I make a conscious decision to receive Your perfected end. I give You all the glory for all that will be accomplished, and I will testify of Your goodness. Amen.
Father, as I stand before the judge and jury today in the court matter, let no deceit befall me. Allow me to speak the truth, not only in this case but also in the ones ahead, for the truth will set me free.
