Prayer For School Teachers And Students

God of the Universe thank you that you are perfectly faithful; you never forget, never fail and never take back a promise. You have promised that you will give wisdom to anyone who asks. Hear my prayer for wisdom and fill me with your love and your understanding. Help me to study by giving me a clear mind and a calm heart. May your peace be in my heart, your grace be in my words, your love be in my hands and your joy be in my soul. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Lord, my Rock and Redeemer thank you that you have plans for me that are for my good and your glory. In everything I do may I set an example for others by doing what is good. In my teaching may I work with integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned. Give me the strength I need to represent you as I teach. May the peace of God enfold me, the love of God uphold me and the wisdom of God control me. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

O Lord my God, thank you that you are the source of all true joy in life. Help me to teach others well. Guide my thoughts, words and actions to enable me to carry out this important work that you have placed before me. Increase my faith that anything is possible in your power. Let the majesty of the Father be the light that guides me, the compassion of the Son be the love that inspires me and the presence of the Spirit be the power that empowers me. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Mighty God, thank you that you know me and you love me. The ability to teach is a gift from you. Help me to use the teaching gift you have given me effectively. May I be filled with your spirit to give me the enthusiasm, strength and love I need to carry out my role. Give me assurance that you are always with me. May God the Father prepare my journey, Jesus the Son guide my footsteps and the Holy Spirit watch over me, on every path that I follow. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Faithful Father, thank you that you are faithful to fulfill all your promises. You are the ultimate teacher. You teach and instruct me in the way of life and guide me into your will. May I teach others with the wisdom and love that I receive from you. Remind me that my teaching is an act of worship to you. May the love of the Father, the tenderness of the Son, and the presence of the Spirit, gladden my heart and bring peace to my soul, today and for all days. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Heavenly Father, thank you that you hear and answer my prayers. Your word instructs us to start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. In my role as a teacher, please help me to work hard for the good of my students, treating each of them with care, love and respect. Lord, bless me and keep me, make your face shine upon me. Turn your face towards me and give me peace. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Gracious God, thank you for teaching us. You give us wisdom now to help us in the future.

We are grateful for this new year in which we may grow in faith, friendship, and the love of Jesus.

We pray for all students in our community. Thank you for their curiosity, hope, and kindness.

Help our students to listen for your voice, as they explore Scripture and seek to live what they believe.

We pray for all teachers. Thank you for giving them dedication, experience, and insight.

Sustain them by your Spirit with creativity, patience, peace, and joy.

Continually guide and bless all parents, families, and the whole congregation throughout this year.

We ask this in the name of Jesus, who asked and answered many questions. Amen.

Almighty God, You have given my kids all the talents, abilities, and spiritual gifts they need to follow Your plan for their lives. Lord, help them use those gifts to serve You first and others second, so that Your will is accomplished in their lives. Lord, fill their lives with trusted teachers and advisers who can lead them toward You and Your promises. Help them turn to you as they learn and grow so they can lead fruitful and prosperous lives. Amen.
