Prayer For Rest And Rejuvenation
O God, in the course of this busy life, give us times of refreshment and peace; and grant that we may so use our leisure to rebuild our bodies and renew our minds, that our spirits may be opened to the goodness of your creation; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
O God, we thank you for the gift of connectivity, through which you strengthen relationships and communities, allowing shared pursuits to proceed.
We thank you for the gift of meaningful work and gainful employment, even as we pray for those unjustly excluded from the benefits of these blessings.
We thank you for the gift of technology, those tools and spaces that help us work and play in ways that were once unimaginable to us.
We know these gifts are good, dear Lord, and we confess that we do not always use them wisely. We know as well that there are times when you call us to set them aside, to step away.
Help us remember that unplugging from our daily cares makes space for us to connect more deeply with you, with our dearest ones, and with ourselves.
Help us in this time to drink deeply from the well of your love. Help us to rest, and to know your peace.
You have given us much to do, O Creator of Life and Sustainer of the World. Help us remember that you do not need us to do it all.
Be with us all our lives as we learn the sacred art of letting go.

Good morning, Father. I thank you for leading me to this course. You know how much I need it! I'm so tired Lord. Some days I don't know if I'm coming or going, but today is a new day and I'm looking forward to the changes you will be making in my heart as I spend time with you and acknowledge your presence.
In Jesus' sweet name, I come to you today to change my mind. I thank you that you are literally changing the neural pathways in my brain so that I can form new healthy thoughts that set me free. I thank you that you are rewiring my brain at a biological level so that I have your mind. This world and all its trappings no longer hold my mind captive. I have the power to think new thoughts, to see myself as you see me, and to take every thought captive and make it obedient to you. I choose to think about whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is admirable, whatever is lovely, whatever is excellent and praiseworthy. Amen.
Lord, I admit, I am weary. Life is going a million miles an hour and I am just trying to hang on. I am tired and I am afraid when I look to the future and think about all that is coming. Lord, I know You want me to trust You through this. I know You want me to surrender this weariness to You. I surrender now. Fill me with Your strength. Fill me with Your presence. Help me find moments today of rest and rejuvenation. Thank You that You never abandon us in the midst of the battle. Thank you for your everlasting faithfulness. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Jesus, I am stressed. Help me to accept your invitation to come empty and receive the rest I need. Help me to willingly release my fear, my worries, my agenda, and my to-do list. Ease the tension and replenish my body. Silence the voices of doubt and speak Your words of truth. Remove the heaviness of my day and pour out abundantly into my life. Fill me with Your peace, joy, and love. Fill me until the overwhelm is consumed by Your grace, and my life reflects the beauty of resting in You. Amen.
Jesus, I am weary. I spend each day busy but feel I accomplish little. Help me to set healthy boundaries and prioritize by Your Holy Spirit. I have my to-do list, but what do You have for me today? Help me not to miss Your divine appointments. Set my focus on things above and keep my eyes on You. Reveal to me what I should hold on to, and what I need to let go. Empower and equip me for the work You have for me. Give me the lasting strength of abiding in You. Renew my mind, body, and spirit, Lord, and make me whole. Amen.
Jesus, I am tired. My mind is frazzled, my hands are full, and my emotions are reeling with all the things I have to do. Help me to come to you in the middle of the overwhelm. Remind me of your ever-present help in my times of need. Show me how to rest in You. Reveal to me both the beauty in the work and in the rest. Calm my anxious thoughts and encourage my heart with Your nearness. Instruct me in your ways. Bring productivity and contentment out of the peace and comfort I find. Settle me in Your truth and in Your love. Amen.
Father God,
I come to you exhausted entirely spent
I sit before you on the verge of collapse
The weight of the world feels heavy upon my shoulders
And its burden is overwhelming
But You, O Lord, are my rest and rejuvenation
You have called the weary and burdened to You to find rest
Here I am, Lord Asking for relief
Inviting Your power and strength to become my own
I realize my own choices have led me here, but have not the wisdom to get untangled
Help me submit completely to the path You have chosen for me
I praise Your holy name forever and ever
