Prayer For Renewal Of Faith

My Father Who is in Heaven,

Hallowed be your name. I thank you for the caring and keeping of my heart, my mind, and my body this year. I know that many of the events that have transpired over the course of the year may have been a surprise to me, but none of them were a surprise to you.

I bless your name because you are holy and worthy of my trust. Therefore, I rest in your goodness and I ask that you would heal the parts of me that need it, and protect the parts of me that are whole and pure.

I walk into this coming year with open arms, knowing that you have a bright hope and a future for me. I leave this year knowing that you cause all things to work together for my good, because I love you and have been called according to your purposes.

Have your way, oh Lord and wherever you lead me, I will follow!

For I pray this in your son Jesus' precious and mighty name,

Amen.

Glory to you,
O Lord our God,
Your love calls us to be your people.
By sharing our many and diverse gifts
we share in your mission.
We ask you, Lord,
to shape us into a community of faith.
Nourish us by your word and sacraments
that we may grow into the image of Jesus.
Through the power of your Holy Spirit,
heal us that we, in turn,
may heal the wounded.
Form us to be instruments of love,
justice, and peace in our land,
and send us to proclaim your saving work.

RENEW us, Lord,
that we may renew the face of the earth.

Amen.

All praise to Thee, my God, this night
For all the blessings of the light:
Keep me, O keep me, King of kings,
Beneath Thine own almighty wings. Amen

Jesus, gentle Shepherd,
Bless Thy lamb today;
Keep me in Thy footsteps,
Never let me stray.
Guard me through the daytime.
Every hour, I pray;
Keep my feet from straying
From the narrow way. Amen.

O heavenly Father, who hast filled the world with beauty:
Open our eyes to behold Thy gracious hand in all Thy works;
that, rejoicing in Thy whole creation, we may learn to serve Thee with gladness;
for the sake of him through whom all things were made,
Thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love,
Where there is injury, pardon
Where there is doubt, faith,
Where there is despair, hope,
Where there is darkness, light,
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much
seek to be consoled as to console,
not so much to be understood as to understand,
not so much to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,

Blessed Sacred Heart of Jesus, you have asked me to trust in you. I try to trust you unconditionally , but my faith is weak .Because of the countless times that you have showed yourself strong in my life, I know that I should trust you implicitly. But try as I might, my faith continues to waver. Please help me to strengthen my weak faith. One day I am hopeful and trusting that you are working things out for my good, the next day, I slip back full of doubts, letting negativity overwhelm me. I am so tired of my weak faith. I talk to my children about trusting in God but when it comes to me, I cannot practise what I preach. Lord, how does one go about building the kind of faith that Job, Abraham ,Mary and other holy people of the Bible exhibited? Sacred Heart of Jesus, please teach how to wait on you patiently. Teach me how to submit to your will gracefully and not grudgingly. I pray for others like me who have difficulty in letting go and letting God take charge over our lives. Finally Lord, I praise you for your mercy and protection. I thank you for restoring to me that which was taken from me. Thank you Sacred Heart of Jesus for your unconditional love.

Lord, help us to study and apply your Word to our lives each day. Help us make this a discipline of the mind and heart, empowered by Your Spirit, transforming us each day more and more into your likeness. Help us have self-awareness of when we're falling into temptation and turn quickly back to you. Thank you for your tender mercy and love, ever leading us onward. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen!
