Prayer For Pets Death
The cold wind in the winter,
The pleasant summer sun,
The ripe fruits in the garden,
He made them every one.
He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell
How great is God Almighty,
Who has made all things well.
All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful:
The Lord God made them all.
Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing colors,
He made their tiny wings.
The purple headed mountains,
The river running by,
The sunset and the morning
That brightens up the sky.
Father in Heaven,
Thank you for the joy we have felt over the years of having such a beautiful pet dog. So much of your goodness and gentleness was given to us by his/her presence. We feel so sad to now have lost such a faithful companion. We now trust in your promise of redemption. We trust in the promise of heaven - that our new lives will be free from sin, pain and death.
We give thanks for all that you have given us and place our devoted loved one into your eternal hands.
Amen.
know that you must miss me,
By the tears rolling down your face.
But believe me when I tell you that,
I'm in a very good place.
There are meadows here to run in,
And plenty of rabbits to chase.
There are other dogs to play with,
To frolic with and race.
So please don't worry about me,
My spirit feels light as can be.
There's no more pain to plague me,
I'm young again and free.
And I'll be watching over you still,
of that you can be sure.
I'm your canine guardian angel,
And my love for you remains pure.
It's time to rest, my pup.
Your watch has come to an end.
Make your journey on up
And wait for me, my friend.

No need to stay alert.
You needn't make a sound
Don't fret about my hurt.
You were a vigilant friend
And a loyal, happy dog.
I'll stay with you until the end
And leave in an emotional fog.
Lord, thank you for (pet name). We love him very much and we know he will soon be in heaven getting pet by all the angels. He'll enjoy his angel wings and will probably make all the angels happy with his cuddles. Please help us say goodbye until we see him again in heaven.
Eternal Father, we bring you our grief in the loss of (name of pet) and ask for courage to bear it. We bring you our thanks for (name of pet) who lived among us and gave us freely of his/her love. We commit our friend and companion [name of pet] into your loving hands. Give us eyes to see how your love embraces all creatures and every living thing speaks to us of your love. Amen.
