Prayer For Non Believers
We will pray that it will flow out
As a river to all the nations,
That as the rivers fill the oceans,
Your love of God will fill the earth.
We wait.
We anticipate that great day,
And we call You as You have called us,
To add our prayers, fasting, and sacrifices
To Mirjana's in order that You may
Obtain all Your wishes for the world.
Remember, O Lord, Your Son Jesus Christ, Who so generously shed His Blood and suffered for them. Do not permit that Your Son, Our Lord, remain unknown by unbelievers, but, with the help of Your saints and the Church, the Bride of Your Son, remember Your mercy, forget their idolatry and infidelity, and make them know Him, Who You have sent, Jesus Christ, Who is our salvation, our life, and our resurrection, through Whom we have been saved and redeemed, and to Whom is due glory forever. Amen.
If we are commanded to love our enemies, it should be even easier to love and intercede with God for the health of non-believers (including those whom we may know or like), that they may be brought to a knowledge of the truth, and that God would either mercifully restore them to health so that they might have both a witness of God's healing power and an ongoing opportunity to repent and believe; or else use their ill health to bring them to a realization of their need for God and the salvation that He offers in Christ.
Jesus instructed His followers to pray for their enemies (Matthew 5:44-48). While a non-believer may not necessarily be an enemy, loving even an enemy does not require "liking" them, agreeing with them, believing them to be better than they are, or seeing their deeds as righteous if they are not. (Jesus demonstrated love of one's enemies by praying for the forgiveness of those responsible for His crucifixion (Luke 23:34).)
I pray Lord, that in Your grace and mercy, You would convict the hearts of many today of the evils of sin, of the price that the Lord Jesus paid for their sins and of the judgement of condemnation on all who do not believe in the only begotten Son of God as Saviour.
Father, I pray that many souls may be convicted of their need of the Lord Jesus today, and praise You for every person that will place their trust in Him.
Amen.
Dear Lord, it is not Your will that anyone should perish but that all should come to faith in the Lord Jesus. Father, there are many hearts that are cold towards Your dear Son, for sin has infected the soul of every man and woman and yet in Your love You continue to reach out to whosoever will believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. Lord, all they have to do is to trust that Jesus died to pay the price for their sins and rose again the third day, to break the power of sin and death in their life, so that all who believe may have eternal life.
Lord, I know it is my duty to spread the Word of God and show others the glory that can be found within You. Many people come to faith after seeing Christ's loved displayed through the ministry of Christians. So today, I pray for opportunities to minister to unbelievers. Help me to spread Your ministry effectively to those who do not know you. I pray that You work through other Christians, so that they have the ability to minister to nonbelievers too. Lead us all to opportunities to encounter those who do not know Jesus. Let us all be an example of Christian living. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven (Matthew 5:16).
Lord, it is scary to know that unbelievers have been blinded by Satan. In 2 Corinthians 4:4 it says, In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. How will they ever know You if they are blind? I pray that they are able to see and appreciate the gospel by You working within them. I pray God that You give them opportunities to see the light and glory of Jesus Christ. Bless them with the spiritual sight needed to break the influence that Satan has taken over them. Amen.
