Prayer For My Pregnant Wife
God, thank you for giving my baby a hope and a future. No matter what her life holds both in my womb and in the world, I give you praise for her presence and purpose. Thank you for knowing her intimately, loving her deeply, and entrusting her to my care. Give me strength as I carry her. Equip my body to do this good work of preparing her little life for birth. Thank you for making this baby specifically and carefully and wonderfully. May her life be for your glory and may you be praised through this pregnancy, Jesus! Amen.
Lord, I can't believe this baby is here! I truly cannot believe it. You are so good to me, and I am so very thankful. I hold a tremendous responsibility, this baby's life is in my hands, my care. Help me to always have Your wisdom and love so that this child is brought up in Your Fruit. Lord, this baby is so special, thank you for this life! Amen.
Lord, the helplessness of a baby is astonishing! The responsibility of caring for their every need is so great and I don't want to miss anything. Help me, God, to remain vigilant as a parent and to fight through the tiredness and stress to give this baby the best I can. Amen.
Lead me in the path of knowledge with my child. Light our way together. Keep us protected and divinely guided in all matters and at all times. May we always feel the presence of God in our lives and may we be blessed.
Help us both to enjoy these early childhood years together. Give me patience and wisdom to do the right things and to do things rightly. May we be happy and full of joy as we spend our days. Bless us richly with health, happiness and laughter.
I am deeply grateful for this child and for all that this child represents in my life. My experience of life and my contribution to the world is changed forever and I am grateful. Thank you, God.
God, please give my baby all that is required for a good way of life and for a good way of living.
Please let this child bring joy and pride to me and my family. I will give all that is needed to this child. And help me to do my best to guard and protect my baby for his/her lifetime.
Lord, our Peace-Bringer, I magnify Your name! Your word tells me that all my children will be taught by You, and great will be their peace. I thank You in advance for the peace that my baby will experience, and is already experiencing. I pray that the world will not disrupt or take the peace that You have promised in my newborn baby's life. Thank You for being the God of Eternal Peace. Amen.
Holy God, I trust in You with all my heart and I have leaned on You instead of leaning on my own understanding or my own intellect. Lord, I pray that my baby learns to trust in You with all his/her heart. I pray against self-reliance taking priority over You. Instead, I pray that my child will not lean on his/her own understanding, but will acknowledge You in all his/her ways so that his/her path can be directed by You, who knows all things. Amen.
Let no blessing come from anywhere else to her but from you. May your hand be seen in everything that sets out to do. Bless the works of her hands, oh God. Whatever she touches will see completion. Whatever she starts will be a success.
Lord may this be a heritage that is passed down from her to generation after generation. May the God of my wife be passed on to her children and grandchildren. Every testimony she will see will be a beacon of hope for generations to come. In the mighty name of Jesus.
