Prayer For My Dying Mother
Jesus, I pray that You grant inner peace and calm to my mother in her final days. As her body gets weaker and her sickness gets worse, Lord, let her spirit be still and confident in You. Death can be so scary, but God, You promise your believers eternal life. In You, there is no fear of death and no power in Hell. May my mother feel that freedom from fear. Help her be calm and serene. Thank You, Lord. Amen.
O Jehovah, my God, every time I go to visit my mother, she puts on her best face and still tries to take care of me. God, even when she is dying, she is trying to be strong for me. I pray that You give her the reassurance she needs to know that she doesn't have to act strong. I pray that she be comfortable and at peace. Lord, thank You for all that You do for her and our family. Amen.
All-powerful Father, my mom is not a believer and as her health gets worse, I worry for her salvation. God, I know that I cannot change her heart, but You can. Please use me in any way You can to break through to my mother and help her trust and accept You before her time on this earth ends. God, please save her from her unbelief. Help me to know what to say and what to do to get through to her. Please, God. Amen.
Jesus, my Savior, comfort my mother, please. I ask that You prepare her for the end of her time on earth. Give her peace and comfort in the idea of death and let her feel ready to go when the time comes. I ask that You help her say and do whatever it is she feels like she needs to do before she dies. God, let her know that it is okay for her to go when she is ready. Let her have comfort in the truth that we will miss her, but we know she will be happier with You. Amen.
Heavenly Father, thank You so much for my mother. I always knew she wouldn't live forever, but sometimes I forgot that she wasn't invincible. As it has become clear that her time left with us is short, I want to take the time to thank You for her and everything she has done for me. I am so blessed to have had such a kind, caring, and loving mother. God, she is ready to go and be with You. Help me be ready for her to go, too. Thank You, Jesus. Amen.
O Mighty God, I pray for peace for my mother and my family as my mom nears her last days. She is a fighter and has lasted longer than any of us expected her to. God, I ask that You help her and us have peace of mind about her death. We know that she will be with You, but it will still be so hard to not have her around. Lord, help my mom know that we will be okay when she is gone. Help her be comforted by knowing that she has taught us all so much, and has prepared us to stand on our own without her. Help her be ready and at peace when the time comes. Amen.
Compassionate Father, I come to You and ask that You let my mom not suffer anymore. God, we know that she doesn't have much time left, but I ask that the time she does have can be as pain-free as possible. God let her enjoy the time she has left in this world and let us enjoy her while we still have time. God, give Your comfort because that is the only thing left that can help. Thank You, God, for the woman she is. Amen.
Gracious God, give strength to my mother. She is brave and beautiful and strong, and she is desperately in need of You. As her body weakens, God, let her lean on Your strength for the time she has left. Let her leave this world feeling strong in You and ready for what comes next. God, only You can be her strength now. There is no more earthly healing that can be done. Let her be Yours. Amen.
