Prayer For Mealtime
Lord Jesus, thank you for the blessings that are upon us. You said in the word that those who come to you would never thirst or hunger. We know that the meal we are about to eat will only bring satisfaction for a little while. As we enjoy the meal, remind us that you are the bread of life, and it is only in you that we find true satisfaction. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
Lord God, thank you for enabling us to have enough finances to go and dine out. Some wish they can dine out, but they cannot afford it. Purify these meals that we have ordered with the blood of Jesus. As we eat, may you satisfy our thirst and fill our hunger. Lord, cause us to be a blessing to this restaurant and those who can't afford food. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
Father God, may mealtimes in this place be times of bonding with each other. If there is anything that we have been holding against each other, God, use this time to help us set our differences aside so that we can come closer as a family. May this food give us strength and bless our bodies that we may be able to endure whatever challenges lie ahead of us. In Jesus' name, we believe and pray, Amen.
Dear God, as we sit down to have this meal, may we be reminded about your unconditional love towards us. Help us to share that love on this table and when we finish having our meals, may we go out there and share that love with the rest of the world. Guide our conversations right now that we may build each other up for the glory of your great name. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
Lord, we come before your throne as a family to thank you for your love for us. Thank you for the food that is before us. As we eat, may we remember your goodness towards our family. Lord, let the energy we get from this meal be used to do things that glorify your name. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
Heavenly Father, so many people are spending their days and nights hungry, but we have a constant supply of food in this home, and I want to say thank you. Thank you for the meal that is before us today. As we eat, may we do it with thanksgiving in our hearts. Forgive us for complaining and not being appreciative of your providence. May the meal fuel our bodies that we may have the energy to accomplish our purposes in this world. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
O Lord, thank you for the blessings that you have freely given to us. May your blessings be upon the food and water that we are about to partake. Let the blood of Jesus purify anything that will contaminate the food and cause us to fall sick. May we leave this table feeling energized so that we can be able to carry out regular duties for the glory of your name. In Jesus' name, I believe and pray, Amen.
