Prayer For Meal At Wedding Reception

Eternal God, creator and preserver of all life, author of salvation, and giver of all grace: Look with favor upon the world you have made, and for which your Son gave his life, and especially upon this man and this woman whom you make one flesh in Holy
Matrimony.
Amen.
Lord God Almighty,
Creator of the heavens and earth.
Thank you for the gift of marriage
For all the joy and love that it brings us.
We thank you for ____ and ____.
Thank you that you have brought them together for this special day,
And that you hold them safely in Your hands.
We pray that you would richly bless them as they exchange their vows and their wedding rings, And from this day forward they would walk hand in hand into everything that you have destined them to be.
We give our hearts and beings to You now in adoration,
And welcome Your Holy Spirit amongst us.
Amen.
God of love, bless the marriage of ____and ____. Surround their relationship and their home with ever-growing love. May they always be aware of Your presence and Your care in their lives. And now, ___and ___, may the grace of Christ attend you, the love of God surround you, and the Holy Spirit keep you. Amen.
O God, the great Creator of this beautiful setting and all that is,
the Lord of life and love,
we give you thanks for all of your goodness:
~ for the abundance of food this evening
~ the abundance of family and friends,
~ the abundance of laughter and love.
We pray that this meal might be a time to nourish our bodies
and nourish strong relationships.
We pray for James and Ashley that the love they share today would flourish and grow.
May they continue in your joy and strength.
May they bless their families as they have been blessed by them.
And may all of us who participate in this celebration,
carry your joy and love with us as we move forward.
