Dear God,
May I be a shining example of grace and love in my daily living: Kind, honest, considerate, strong, and smart. Inspire me to fight for justice, speak thoughtfully, and always live in amazement of Your gifts and blessings.

Thank you for the marvelous and mysterious organ you placed within me. My brain stores knowledge, stimulates curiosity, and solves problems. May I always think clearly and find wonder in the marvels of Your world.

I am weak and need your help. I lack the courage to do the things I must to move forward with my life. Share your strength with me and I will use it to make You proud. I am motivated by Your goodness. Make me strong.

Disturb me. Wake me from complacency and open my eyes to the suffering of my fellow man. Let my ears hear their cries. Move me to use my hands and my voice to bring justice to every corner of the earth.

Dear God,
I am tempted. The opportunities to cheat just a little, to tell a white lie, or to embellish a small truth meet me every day. Fortify me at just the right moment to be truthful and honest in all my daily living.

Dear God,
Keep my lips from evil. Let me speak words of praise. Words that comfort. Words that teach. As I grow in Your spirit, may my speech reflect Your goodness and grace.

Give me the discretion to make promises carefully with great thought. Steer me away from impulsive vows and well-intended gestures that lead to disappointment. Help me to stand behind each and every promise made to You, my fellow man, and myself.

Remind me to be kind. When I am angry, show me that kindness will diffuse the situation. When I lose patience, allow kindness a path to my heart. And God, may I never take for granted the loving kindness I receive.
