Prayer For Leaving
Father Lord, this prayer before leaving home for work today please accept by your tender mercies. Thank you God for always hearing me, and kept me going during other days at work.
I know there are many wiles and trials that the evil one has placed my way this day, I want to thank you because you have promised not to leave nor forsake me and you will be with me when I go out and come in.
Lord of mercy as your word in 1 John 4:4 which says the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. Dear Father, may your hand be upon me so that whoever will cross my line during the day will feel your presence and everything I'm going to touch may it be blessed abundantly.
Thanks for the gift of life as I go out of my house let me be a blessing to many in Jesus name.
May the blessing of light be on you
Light without and light within.
May the blessed sunlight shine on you like a great peat fire,
So that stranger and friend may come and warm themselves at it.
And may light shine out of the two eyes of you,
Like a candle set in the window of a house,
Bidding the wanderer come in out of the storm.
May the blessing of the rain be on you,
May it beat upon your Spirit
And wash it fair and clean,
And leave there a shining pool where the blue of Heaven Shines,
And sometimes a star.
May the blessing of the earth be on you,
Soft under your feet as you pass along the roads,
Soft under you as you lie out on it, tired at the end of day;
And may it rest easy over you when, at last, you lie out under it.
May it rest so lightly over you
That your soul may be out from under it quickly; up and off and on its way to God.
And now may the Lord bless you, and bless you kindly.

As you go my friend, you walk upon a bed of love, On which our prayers are falling softly every day. As you go, remember that our hearts will hold you close. You're treasured, and we will cheer you on your way. As you go my friend, you travel with Christ at your side. His light will show a path and be your guide. As you go, be hopeful that you're following your dreams. We celebrate this new season of your life.
Father God,
As we say farewell to our loved ones we entrust them into your care. We pray for happiness and joy to be ahead of them, for wisdom and guidance to be beside them, and for grace and truth to be behind them, pushing them onwards into your goodness. We know that you will always love and protect them, wherever they go.
