Prayer For Guidance And Understanding
Lord, thank You for the people You have divinely placed in my life who speak holy truth, love, and words of wisdom. Give me a heart of discernment to know when You are using someone to speak instruction into my heart and my circumstances and give me the strength and courage to follow through with that advice, even when it's hard. Fill me with peace in knowing that even if I take a wrong turn, Your purpose will prevail. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Father, thank you for making me your child. Today I come with a heart full of praise and thanksgiving.
I am thankful Lord, that you love me and you know me. You know everything about me. Your Word tells me that you know the very details of my life and the desires of my heart.
Lord right now you know that I have decisions to make and I desire to know and do your will in my life.
Your promises to lead and guide me are found throughout the pages of scripture and today I allow those promises to be my prayers.
Proverbs 3: 5 & 6 tell me to trust in you with all of my heart and lean not own my own understanding, you tell me to acknowledge you in all my ways and you will direct my paths so today I put my trust in you.
I refuse to trust in my own experiences, education or wisdom and I ask according to James 1:5 that you would grant to me your wisdom. I ask in faith today knowing that you enjoy giving your wisdom to your children.
Jeremiah 33:3 teaches me to call to you and you will answer and show me great and mighty things, things that I do not know so here I am lifting my voice to you Lord and I am comforted in knowing that you will reveal things to me that my natural mind doesn't know.
Fill me Lord with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understand (Colossians 1:9) and I thank you for the ministry of the Holy Spirit who Jesus said would lead me into all truth and even show me things yet to come.
Father I am thankful that you are not the author of confusion so I tear down any walls of confusion that try to hinder me as I seek to know your will. I will not be led by fear but I am led by your Spirit and you have given me the mind of Christ.
Oh blessed Lord,
I have doubts, questions. I seek answers, so I seek your presence now.
Prepare me first, oh Lord. Grant me your peace that I may be ready for what you reveal to me.
Give me the humility to accept your will and your way. May your guidance be present always, and may your answer come when I am ready.
Cleanse me of any selfishness. Free me of all deceit.
Let your Spirit show me that my true rest is in Christ and not the answer I seek.
May your response be a guiding message bringing me closer to the love of my Savior and Lord.

Still my heart O Lord with the blessing of your peace.
Still my mind O Lord with the beauty of your kingdom.
Still my soul O Lord with the promise of eternity.
Still my being O Lord so that I am in the best place to make this decision.
Come guide me, speak to me, show me the best way to turn.
I wait upon you my Lord.
Amen.
Lord God,
We come before you,
And desire that our lives to be like an open book.
Come write your story of love across every page,
May we hear your voice of guidance in all we do.
We trust that with you we will always see the way ahead,
May our every move be at one with your will.
We know that you protect us, and keep us as we travel.
Come reveal to us all that we need to see along the way,
As we journey on this incredible adventure with you.

Oh Heavenly Father, guide me accordingly. Shape me and mold me into a better person. As I draw near to You, may I understand Your teachings and apply them to my life.
Everlasting Father, wonderful and counselor, you are the almighty God, the all-knowing and all-seeing God. Nothing is hidden from you, and even darkness is as plain as light before you. I praise and adore your holy name for who you are and for the things you do.
God, I approach unto your presence today in the multitude of your mercy; I know that you know my ways and I do not want to be wise in my own eyes. Thus, Lord, I ask that you lead me today and give me guidance, direction, clarity, and wisdom into your truth. God, order my steps by your Holy Spirit, let my choices be guided by your word, let me not go ahead of you.
I humbly ask for your guidance and direction today as I go through life. Please guide me in your love and lead me in your light that I may not fall into temptation, that darkness may not overtake me. God, I pray that you light my candle and enlighten my darkness. I pray for clarity in my situation. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
