Prayer For Guidance And Success
Lord, Your word teaches each of us that it is acceptable to ask for a successful, blessed life. Expand our borders, Precious Lord, and let us find prosperity and success in this gift of life we have been given. You said that You came that we may have life, and that we may have it more abundantly. Please grant us that abundant life, God. Let my life be pleasing to You in all ways, and in all things, so that I will be able to receive the fullness of Your blessings both in this life and in the life to come. Amen.
Dear Lord, I know that my ways are not Your ways and Your perspective on my life is different from my own, and Lord at times I long to be more successful in all that I do and all that I try to achieve, not only in my personal life but also in every area of life, my home-life, my work life, my relationships, my recreational times and even my religious activities.
But Lord, the more I read through the Scriptures, the more I come to understand that so much of what I yearn for in life, such as getting on and being successful in work and play, is not necessarily the best thing for me to desire, knowing that this could cause me to wander far from You, to leave my first-love and to become increasingly dependent on myself and less and less dependent upon You.
Help me Lord, to get the right balance between wanting to be successful in all I do, so that my life glorifies my Father in heaven, which truly is the desire of my heart, and becoming successful in the wrong way and for the wrong reasons, for my own honour and glory.
May I become increasingly dependent on You so that whether I have much or a little, I may live my life successfully in Your eyes. Help me to set my heart on Your desires, Your will, Your kingdom. Help me to yearn more and more to be successful in my Christian work and my spiritual growth, rather than in seeking the empty success of the world and the empty prosperity that is from the world, even if it means having to diminish in my eyes and in the esteem of others. May I see You first and Your righteousness Lord and not hanker after the things of this world. To Your praise and glory, in Jesus' name I pray,

Loving Heavenly Father, I come to you today because I want to seek Your will for my life rather than following my own direction in life, as I know that in my heart I can stray from Your best path.
Lord, I want to be successful in what I turn my hand to because I want to do everything as unto You. And so today, I come to lay the desires of my heart before You and to ask that in Your grace, You will forward the plans I have for my life, in a way that is best pleasing to You.
Lead me Lord in the way of Your choosing, as I lay before You the hopes and dreams of my heart, which I would dearly love to fulfil. I surrender all these dreams to You, praying that you will guide me in the path that is best suited to carry out Your best work in me.
I ask this the name of the Lord Jesus,

Father God, I draw near to you as I make this decision. Lord, I confess the anxieties, fears and insecurities which arise within me. I draw nearer to your heart for this world and nearer to your heart for me. Lord, guide my thoughts to be clear and free as I consider the options. May I know your wisdom in this process. I draw into your kingdom promises, and I breathe in your hope. Lord, bring clarity into this situation. Please bless me with renewed vision and a clear calling from you. I draw into your loving care and to your presence, for here I know that no matter what my decision, you are always with me, I am not alone. Thankyou, Amen.
Almighty God, in you there is no darkness at all. Give us your eternal light. When we cannot see the way before us, may we continue to put our trust in you, that under your guidance and protection
we may be kept from falling this day, and finally, by your mercy, enter into our rest; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Lead us all in becoming who You created us to be in this life, as we know that Your plan for our lives is greater than we can even dare to imagine. I know your plan for me is for success, victory, and abundance.
Your plan may not be the plan we desire for ourselves. But we pray that Your Will will be great as You alone can give the best to those who seek you! Teach us to be patient as we await your answers. In Jesus name, Amen.
JEHOVAH GOD, our LORD who holds ALL matters of life in His Hands, grant us success in whatever work or business with which You have Blessed us.
Help us to give these tools of our trade the careful thought and the strict attention that will lead to Success.
LORD, watch over us and govern our actions, that we may not mar the perfection of Your Plans for us.
Show us how to give our very best. Let us not hate the hard work and diligence that is necessary to complete our success.
