Prayer For Going Back To School
Lord, as parents, our instinctual prayer for our children is that You would protect them. Please do protect their growing bodies, Lord -- but even more, protect their souls. Protect them from the deception of the evil one. Teach them the power they possess in the name of Jesus. Keep their eyes and ears from wickedness (Psalm 101:3). Strengthen their spirits to resist the devil, so that he will flee from them (James 4:7).
Even when they are injured, whether in body or spirit, we pray that You would keep them strong in You.
Father, we pray that You would grow our children into men and women who love and serve You. We hate to see them suffer, Lord, and yet we know that in this world, we will have trouble (John 16:33). Help our children learn to lean into You, their Rock and salvation, when they face storms and trials in this life. Cause them to take heart, knowing that You have overcome the world (John 16:33). Teach them to cast all their anxiety upon You, trusting that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Help them to daily grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18). Hide Your Word in their hearts, that they might not sin against You (Psalm 119:1
Almighty God We give you our school. We give you all the teachers and staff who work here, We give you all the children who study here. We pray our school would be place of great discovery, adventure and creativity. May it be a place where we love to learn and where we learn to love, A place where every one is respected and all are deeply valued. We ask all this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Dear Father God, Thank you for holiday times For freedom, family and friends. Help me to keep these happy times in my heart. A am excited to start school. To spend time with my teacher and school friends. Help me to settle back into this school year! Help me to learn, to grow in confidence And to have lots of fun.
Lord, thank You that You are equipping my children to learn this year and work hard, not just for grades, but because they desire to please You. Father help them in the times where they feel tired and weary. Help me to encourage them and lift them up, but also help them to push through when necessary. I pray above all else this year that they would begin to understand that the work they do is to glorify You. In Jesus' name, Amen!
Father, I thank you for the gift of friendships. I thank you that You've wired each of my children uniquely different to satisfy your purpose for them. Let that beauty shine as they head back to school and engage with others. Help others to see the good in them and help them to see the good in others. Father steer them to the relationships you want them to be in and protect them from the ones that could hurt them. Help me to guide them and teach them what it means to be a friend. Lord, I pray that they are placed with the right teachers who will walk in understanding with them, but also challenge them to be their best. In Jesus' name, Amen!
