Prayer For God To Teach Me What He Is Trying To Teach Me
God has promised to hear us if we sincerely approach Him in this manner, with an attitude of seeking to do His will and a willingness to allow His Word to guide and correct us. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil (1 Peter 3:12).
God looks on our attitude, our heart (1 Samuel 16:7), rather than on our past sins. He can see the direction we want to go, and that is what is important to Him.
He expects us to have faith that He hears us and to trust His judgment. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind (James 1:6).
God is especially aware of our motives when we pray. If we sincerely want to do what is pleasing to Him and pray accordingly, He is delighted to hear us. He responds according to His judgment, according to what He knows is best for us.
Regrettably, not everyone prays from pure motives: You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures (James 4:3). God will not honor the requests of those who are interested only in satisfying their own desires but have no interest in pleasing Him.
Again, God looks at our attitude. He knows why we ask, and He knows what is in our hearts.
Prayer is essential in our relationship with God. Therefore, we are told, Rejoice always, pray without ceasing [habitually], in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). When we pray in this attitude, God will hear us.
God, you know me better than I know myself. You know my fears and my desires. You know how much I want this. You know how much I will be devastated if this doesn't happen. I know you love me. I know you have a plan for me. Please, Lord, don't let my desires blind me to your will. If this is not within your plan for me, throw up a Brick Wall. Give me an obstacle I cannot get past. Help me follow your will, Father. Give me peace about whatever is to come. If this falls through, I will know it is your hand.
Thank you for loving me,
Amen
Dear God, for me to have complete joy in my life I have to do your will. I pray that through all the challenges and difficulties that I face do not separate me with your word. I know that when your word is in me you are there for me. Give me strength and power to overcome all the trials that I am facing. In the name of Jesus Christ I know that all things are possible and everything that I ask in His name is being done for me. Let your Holy Spirit take control in everything I do and continue to give me wisdom and knowledge to preach the good news to the lost. Set me free from all evil desires and create in me a pure heart. I know that I will continue to face a lot in life but I am not afraid because your word says all things worketh together for the good to those who love God and those who are called according to his purpose I want to be like King David when He said though I walk through the shadow of death I will fear no evil in Jesus name I declare to overcome evil with good.
Let your will be done in my life in Jesus name, Amen.

Hallowed be Your name Father God, and may You be glorified in all that happens today.
Father, as I face another busy day I thank You that You have promised to be with me always, to lead and guide to comfort and sustain, to uphold and strengthen. Lord, I pray that although my life is one of much activity that You would take first place and that in all that I do and may I willingly submit to Your gracious leading and guidance.
Help me to live today in all its fullness, and enable me to take every opportunity to live and walk as You would have me do. Teach me Lord, to be a servant today and develop in me that gracious spirit of humility that was so evident in the Lord Jesus. Create in me a clean heart oh Lord, and develop in me a generous and giving spirit that is pleasing to Your heart. Lord, in everything today may I be ready and willing to say, not my will but Thine be done. In Jesus' name I pray,
Amen.
Dear Lord and Heavenly Father, the trials and difficulties that surround us, seem at times to take up so much of our thoughts and prayers, but Lord I ask that You would give me a deeper understanding of how to pray into Your perfect and eternal will, for You have put eternity in my heart and I desire to pray in unity with Your Spirit and in line with Your will.
Teach me Lord, how to focus on my prayers on Your wider plan for man and all that You have purposed for the world, and give me a deep yearning to join my pleadings with Your perfect plans. May I seek first Your millennial kingdom rule on earth and Your eternal kingdom rule in the eternal ages to come.
It was the Lord Jesus Who said, My will is to the will of Him Who sent me and to finish His world, and Lord, I pray that You would develop in me an increasingly deep desire to carry our Your will and purpose in my life and prayers, and the understanding and discernment to know how to pray.
May You be glorified in my prayers and may my prayers and pleadings be aligned to Your will. In Jesus' name I pray,
Amen.
Lord, teach me to be generous,
to serve you as you deserve,
to give and not to count the cost,
to fight and not to heed the wounds,
to toil and not to seek for rest,
to labor and not to look for any reward,
save that of knowing that I do your holy will.
Prayer expresses love to our heavenly Dad. Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name brings worship to the Lord. When we pray, we give praise for His character and thanksgiving for what He has done.
Prayer commits us to God's will, not ours. Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven opens our hearts to His kingdom and His will. When we pray for God's will over our family, church and friends, we are saying to the Lord, Have Your way with us.
Prayer declares God as our provider. Give us today our daily bread reminds us that God meets our physical needs. When we pray for our daily bread, we recognize our heavenly Father as the source of life and the provider of everything we need.
Prayer seeks forgiveness of sins. Forgive us our debts acknowledges the sin that keeps us from becoming like Jesus. And it looks to God as the only One who can remove that sin.
Prayer resolves anger. As we also have forgiven our debtors ends the cycle of blame in our relationships. Prayer frees our hearts from the toxic poisons of resentment and bitterness.
Prayer provides spiritual protection. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one acknowledges God's grace and invokes God's safety in our lives. With all the temptations of our world today, I can't imagine heading out the door unprotected.
