Prayer For God To Change Me

Oh Lord, I am unsure of where life is taking me right now, but I embrace the changes! I embrace the change because I know that You will lead me and be with me. I bless Your Name knowing that You will not fail me or abandon me, so I will not lose courage or be afraid. I will not worry because I know that You are in control, You see what changes I am going through because You are with me, Amen.

Eternal Father, I thank You because Your word is a lamp to guide me and a light for my path. I have declared change in my life and the season of transition has finally come upon me, but I rejoice knowing that I have the best guide You. Lord, You knew me before I was formed in the womb, therefore You know what is best for me. I pray that You continue to reveal to me, through Your word, where I should go, Amen.

Everlasting God, Your word commands me not to lie to those around me, since I have taken off my old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in the knowledge of its Creator. Lord, I thank You for the spiritual, emotional and eternal changes that have occurred in my life because of You. Thank You for having Your divine way within me so that I am forever free in You, Amen.

I pray the Jesus Prayer, the Help my unbelief prayer, the Lord's Prayer (both reciting and using it as a model), Contemplative Prayer, conversational prayer, spiritual language prayer, and any other prayer I can think of, so that I might be transformed more into the image of my Savior, Christ. I choose first to be mastered by God through my prayer. Then I can pray, with greater power and effectiveness, for others, for the church, and for the world.

Jesus I am grateful that You do not change. You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. But I need to change. Help me to behold Your glory. Transform me into the image of Jesus, and help me to be patient and trust You with Your gradual and perfect process. Hebrews 13:8, 2 Corinthians 13:8

Father, so often I don't understand my own actions. I find that I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing that I hate. I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. I do not do the good that I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. Wretched person that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank You and praise You Father, that You deliver me through my Lord Jesus Christ. There is therefore is no condemnation for me or anyone else who is in Christ Jesus. You have done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could never do. Romans 7: 15,18,19,24,25, 8:1,3 ESV

Lord, I present my body to You as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to You, which is my reasonable service to. You. Do not allow me to be conformed to this world, but Father transform me by renewing my mind, so that I can prove what is Your good and acceptable and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2

For Your name's sake, Lord, I pray that You will cleanse me and remove my idols. Give me a new heart and new Spirit as You have promised. Remove my heart of stone and give me a heart of flesh, a heart that is God-willed and not self-willed. Through Your Spirit, Father, cause me to obey Your statutes and walk in Your ways. Ezekiel 36:25-27, ESV and MSG

Father, I come to You and confess my sins. You promise that if I will confess, You are faithful and just to forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit. Psalm 51:10, 12, 1 John 1:9

Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my anxieties, and see if there is any wicked way within me. Lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24

Lord, when I think about trying to change myself into the person I want to be, I get totally discouraged. I don't even know where to begin. But I take heart in the words of Jesus, who assured His disciple You could even transform even most self-sufficient: With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26

Lord, I know that I am Your child. I know that what I will be has not yet appeared, but I also know that when Jesus appears I will be like Him, because I will see Him as He is. And so, because I hope in Him, I will purify myself as Jesus is pure. 1 John 3:2-3

Lord, help me to behold the truth that You are making all things new. Even me. Revelation 21:5

Lord God Almighty, the path You have set before me is a long and narrow one. There are bridges to burn, mountains to climb and oceans to cross.

I know it's not going to be easy. But, Lord, the toughest roads lead to the most beautiful destinations. And, with You by my side through it all, I will make it to Your heavenly kingdom, where I will dine with You at Your table.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord. Plans for peace and not of harm, to give you a future and a hope.

Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not be faint.

Heavenly Father, I look up to you in this time of change. Allow me to have the courage to change my life for the better. Allow all my burdens to be risen up to you as I know that You will see me through. Forgive those who have done evil and allow me to do the same. Teach me to love with an open heart and open spirit. Take time for me today to help with all the trials you have set out for me and allow me the strength and energy to follow you. Give me the blessings to find a new home, keep my family together, and bless those who are away, may they be strong and know how much love is out there. Let them know you and I are thinking of them and missing them dearly. Bless me with love, strength, wisdom, health, courage, forgiveness, and a willingness to learn.

Heavenly Father,
I pray you give me the eyes to see through the enemy's lies.
I ask for discernment between trials and attacks.
Please, Lord, teach me to see
All that You have for my life.
Help me understand how to turn bad situations
Into Your Glory.
Thank you, Father,
For all you do for me.
Amen.
