Prayer For God's Guidance In Decision Making
Lord God, I pray for a clear understanding and a peace that only you can provide. Remind me that my thoughts are not your thoughts and my ways are not your ways (Isaiah 55:8-9) when I am struggling to see clearly and make decisions and that peace is a gift only you supply. When I'm restless, anxious, and uneasy, strengthen me to move forward with eyes only fixed on you. Please keep the enemy from polluting my heart and confusing my mind as I draw nearer to your truths, Lord.
Heavenly Father, I admit that in my sinfulness and brokenness, too often I desire my will above yours. Lord, forgive me for my selfishness and unbelief as I react to this unclear season of life. Jesus, as you yourself desired not your own will but the Father's will (Matthew 26:39; Mark 14:36; Luke 22:42), so let me echo this prayer in boldness and humility. Equip me to truly believe that you are good, you are sovereign, and are a Father who desires only the best blessings for me but that what you see as a blessing may not be mirrored in how I perceive it. Lord, by praying your will be done, I surrender in trust and obedience.
Heavenly Father, remove anything in me that will cause me to make rash decisions. Give me the patience to handle big and small decisions in different areas of my life. Fill me with divine strength that I may always follow your leading. May I take the path you are showing me even if it seems long. Lord, slow me down when I rush and teach me how to make decisions calmly. In Jesus' name, I pray and believe. Amen.
Dear Lord, my heart is full of anxiety. I don't know how to go about this issue. The decision I make today is going to affect my family and friends. I am scared of failing and shaming my loved ones. But your word says that you have not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and sound mind. Let your word come alive in me. Let me be filled with love and power so that I can make bold decisions. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Father,
I confess my fears and hopes as I make this decision. It is written that perfect love casts out all fear. So I come to you now and soak in your love. As I lay down my thoughts and surrender my will to you, may clarity, wisdom and faith arise in my heart. Lord, would you stir up my hopes, may I dream again. Come speak into my heart your reassuring promises and fresh words of life. Thank you Lord that you are the rock on which I build my life. So no matter what the outcome is of my decision, I stand secure in your truth. Come direct my path and illuminate my mind as I wait before you now.

I am about to make a huge decision in my life, but I don't know how to go about it, Father God. I come to you today to ask you for wisdom.
