Prayer For Generational Curse
Almighty and Everlasting God, I renounce sinful patterns that have been going on in my family from generation to generation. I renounce sexual immorality, alcoholism, bitterness, gossip, and rage in my lineage. I cut myself off and break free from those sinful patterns, in the name of Jesus. I plead the blood of Jesus Christ over myself, and I declare that those sinful patterns will not have any hold over me or any of my children or any of our future generations. We belong to Christ, and therefore, generational sins have no power over us. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
Father, Chain-Breaker, I want to thank you for removing me from the kingdom of darkness and transferring me into the kingdom of your Son, Jesus. I belong to a new family now. Break the foul spirit of premature death that has been haunting my family for generations. Break the devil's power over my life, in the mighty name of Jesus. Devil, I remind you that I belong to a new family now. You have no control over my life. My family and I will live to praise the glorious works of the Lord God Almighty, the Maker of Heaven and Earth, the Maker of all that is seen and unseen. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Father, my Miracle-Worker, I come to your throne today to confess all my sins and the sins of my forefathers. Thank you for forgiving us of our past, present and future sins, and accepting us into your family. We have sinned against you, and as a result, our family has been under the curse of rejection. I break loose from these curses of rejection from my earthly father's house, in the name of Jesus. I declare that none of my children and grandchildren will be rejected because we now belong to God's holy family and we are children of the one, true God. We will always find favor with you, dear Father. In Jesus' name, I believe, and pray, Amen.
Father God of Infinite Blessings, your word says that you have adopted me into your family. Therefore, I am Abraham's descendant and an heir, together with Jesus Christ. From today onwards, I refuse to walk in the curses of my family and choose to walk in the blessings of Abraham. I break free from every curse that has been spoken over me by my family, friends, and even strangers. I cancel the power of predictions made over my life. I declare that I am a blessing to my loved ones and not a curse. The work of the hand of God is blessed and is upon me. God blesses me when I come and he blesses me when I go. In Jesus' name, I believe and pray, Amen.
I beg you God to break the curse over my family, please in you name. Deliver us in your name Jesus. Bring us happiness and continue to watch over us and bless us. Supply all in everything that we lack and bring us closer to you I thank You Jesus amen
Dear Lord extract from me everything that separates me from you Father extract from me all things inside me that are not from you in Jesus name amen. Heavenly Father, I confess my sins of pride , rebellion, witchcraft, and all iniquity and I thank you for forgiving my sins . (1 John 1:9 ) And Heavenly Father. I stand in the gap for ALL my ancestors and confess their sins and ask forgiveness for their sins of pride, rebellion, witchcraft and all iniquity (Leviticus 26:40) And Heavenly Father, I forgive ALL my ancestors for their sins of pride, rebellion, witchcraft and all iniquity and for sending any curses down through the bloodlines. (Matthew 6:14, Mark 11:25 ) And Heavenly Father , I forgive myself for ALL my sins of pride, rebellion, witchcraft, and all iniquity. Thank You Jesus. Thank you Lord Jesus that on the cross , you were made a curse. (Galatians 3:13) that I might be redeemed from the curse, and enter into the blessing (Galatians 3:14) and because of what you did Lord Jesus, right here, right now, in your precious name, I release myself from every curse over me and my family and I claim the blessing that you purchased with your blood (Genesis 24:1) Thank you Lord Jesus! Praise you Lord Jesus! Thank you Lord Jesus!
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before Your throne acknowledging that Jesus is my Saviour and that He paid the price for all sins and curses with His blood sacrifice on the cross.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 ESV Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
Galatians 3:13 ESV Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for usfor it is written, Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree
I am so sorry for my sins, as well as that of my family's, that continue to continue to cause a rift between You and me, and I'm grateful for Your eternal redemption through Jesus. Thank you that when we confess our sins, You are faithful to forgive us.
1 John 1:9 ESV If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Today, I wish to confess the sins of my forefathers, both that of my father's and my mother's family lines, to the third and fourth generations before me. (List as many as you have managed to investigate and uncover, particularly all forms of idol and ancestor worship.)
Leviticus 26:40 ESV But if they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers in their treachery that they committed against me, and also in walking contrary to me,
In Jesus' name, I would like to ask for forgiveness for following in my father's and my mother's footsteps to (name the sins you know of). (Continue with any other grandparents, great-grandparents or great-great-grandparents that you may know of.)
I also choose to forgive them for (name any lingering grievance/s you may personally hold against your parents or other relatives) so that I am guiltless with regards to their ways. I choose the ways of Jesus, who is full of mercy and grace. I leave all judgments to my Saviour.
Matthew 6:15 ESV but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Father God, please release me from all the curses that have been passed down to me as a result of all these sins and grievances.
Deuteronomy 30:19 ESV I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live,
In the powerful name of Jesus, at whose name every knee must bow, I break these generational curses over me. Thank you that just as Jesus said, It is finished! when He paid for our sins on the cross, I can have full confidence that these generational curses have been broken in the name of Jesus when I pray in faith.
Philippians 2:9-10 ESV Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
Today, I also cut off ungodly spiritual ties with my family, especially their ties to demons or evil spirits through any form of idol worship, whether done intentionally or unintentionally. I command all spirits that have oppressed me as a result of idol worship, occult, witchcraft or fortunetelling practices in my ancestry to leave me in the name of Jesus.
Deuteronomy 13:6,8-9 ESV If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son or your daughter or the wife you embrace or your friend who is as your own soul entices you secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods,' you shall not yield to him or listen to him, nor shall your eye pity him, nor shall you spare him, nor shall you conceal him. Holy Spirit, Spirit of Truth, please bring to my memory anything else that I need to confess.
John 16:13 ESV When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
Thank you, Heavenly Father, for Your generosity to Your children, and for Your promise to cleanse us and turn our sorrow into joy through Jesus. I ask for a day I will be able to testify to the unbelievers in our family so that they too, will be reconciled to You one day.

God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth and Jesus Christ, the Son, who died for me so that I may have a beautiful life. I praise You in the midst of the current challenges that have been plaguing me and I glorify and magnify Your name.
You, my Mighty Deliverer are great and so worthy of my praise. Today, I come to you to be set free of all generational curses brought about by the sins of my fore-fathers.
