Prayer For Future Marriage

Dear Heavenly Father,

Please help us to grow. Give us the wisdom to put aside our desires for those things that we know to be good.

Grant us the strength to exercise the areas of our lives where we lack. Give us a focus and the perseverance to run.

May we step out in faith rather than sitting around waiting for motivation to move us. We know what we should be doing, and we know what we should be changing, but we're lacking self-discipline. Give us the wisdom to grow and the strength to move forward.

I pray over my marriage, asking that you infuse my husband and I with passion for life, passion for love and intimacy, passion to grow in wisdom, and passion to serve you together. May hope rise in our hearts and may our love burn for each other like never before. Revive us and revive our marriag

Lord, I pray for your peace to rule richly in my marriage and in my home. You said in your Word that the peace you give passes all understanding. I receive that peace right now. I choose to let the peace of Christ rest in my heart. As the peace of Christ rest in my heart, it will extend to my marriage.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank you for this beautiful day. You have fulfilled the desire of our hearts to be together in this life.

We pray that your blessing will always rest upon our home; that joy, peace and contentment would dwell within us as we live together in unity, and that all who enter our home may experience the strength of your love.

Father, help us to follow and serve you with an ever growing commitment because of our union. Guide us into greater love and sacrifice as we care for each other's needs, knowing you will care for us.

May we always be as keenly aware of your presence as we sense it today on our wedding day. And may our devotion in marriage be a radiant reflection of your love for us. In the name of Jesus, our Savior, we pray.

Amen.

Dear God,

We praise you for your love and faithfulness. We thank you for huge grace. We thank you that you give us the power to love well. Thank you for my spouse. Thank you for the gift of marriage. Thank you that you're for us; that you fight for us. Thank you that you are Redeemer, and you have good in store. We confess, some days, marriage gets tough, and we blow it again. We ask that you would make us more like you. Please fill our marriage and lives with truth and cover it with blessing.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We pray for a deeper understanding of each other. We've been together for a while, but we're two different people who do things in two different ways. And so we ask that You'd give us the strength to be flexible when we need to be, and give us the patience to handle our emotions wisely.

Help us to be good listeners who are sensitive to the needs of each other.

May our differences sharpen each other to grow stronger in faith, and challenge each other to consider new things.

Bind us together in unity, and use our differences to strengthen that bond.

In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Lord Jesus, I pray that you would bless my future marriage with strength. ... Let us love you and no other, Jesus. I pray that as a future wife, I would have a desire to love you more than anyone, Lord. Ground me in Your Word of Truth and help me to fix my eyes on you.

Pray with me that God will be the foundation of my future marriage and that together we will both put God first always and do what's right in the sight of God
