Prayer For Finding A Good Wife
Lord, I pray for a woman of God, beautiful in heart, mind and soul. May she be faithful, loyal, sincere and noble in her thoughts and deeds.
Grant her patience. Let her be filled with love, humility and understanding for me and the family we will commit.
Give me wisdom to make and keep her happy and feeling protected. May she be one fearful in Your sight and be a woman faithful to prayer, praise and worship for You our God.
Let her heart be not worried or afraid of her past which is history and may her present self be in Your way of life. May she be devoted to prayer, family life and know the values of a family of God.
O Jesus, lover of the young, the dearest Friend I have, in all confidence I open my heart to You to beg Your light and assistance in the important task of planning my future. Give me the light of Your grace, that I may decide wisely concerning the person who is to be my partner through life. Dearest Jesus, send me such a one whom in Your divine wisdom You judge best suited to be united with me in marriage. May her/his character reflect some of the traits of Your own Sacred Heart. May s/he be upright, loyal, pure, sincere and noble, so that with united efforts and with pure and unselfish love we both may strive to perfect ourselves in soul and body, as well as the children it may please You to entrust to our care. Bless our friendship before marriage, that sin may have no part in it. May our mutual love bind us so closely, that our future home may ever be most like Your own at Nazareth.
O Mary Immaculate, sweet Mother of the young, to your special care I entrust the decision I am to make as to my future wife/husband. You are my guiding Star! Direct me to the person with whom I can best cooperate in doing God's Holy Will, with whom I can live in peace, love and harmony in this life, and attain to eternal joys in the next.

I am ready to find a mate. Lord, until the day comes where we meet, I will keep hoping and dreaming. I can imagine what our first kiss will feel like! I can imagine how wonderful holding hands will be! I can imagine how emotionally connected we will be through long conversations! I can imagine how attractive they will be and outshine all of the rest around me! Father, I absolutely love You and I want to show that love to a mate! Guide me to someone who will be good for me. Where are the men of courage? Where are the men who aren't afraid to say no to others so they can say yes to me? Father, I so desperately want to have a husband. Lord, I trust in You and I know that You have my interests in mind. Lord, my delight is in You; please grant this desire that is in my heart! (Psalm 37:4) Father, I am lonely and I yearn for the man who will cherish me. Father, lead me with strong hands to the man who will walk with me through the good and the bad. Father, prepare his heart and my own so that when we find each other we will know that this is only from You! I love You, Lord! Amen
Father,
I am lonely. I feel like everyone I know has found a wife and I desperately long to have one of my own. Lord, You declared in Genesis that it is not good for man to be alone (Genesis 2:18). That is why you made a helper for Adam. Father, I long for the affection of a spouse. I long for intimacy, Lord. I long for an intimacy that will allow me to love my wife like Christ loves His church, that I may give of myself to her so she will have her needs met. Father, I long for that sexual, physical, emotional, and intellectual connection that can be had with a woman. I pray that You lead me to a woman that will love me for me, Father. Lead me to a woman who fears You, Lord. Lead me to a woman who absolutely is in love with You, Father! I thank You for Jesus, Lord! I love You, Father! Amen
Oh Glorious St. Joseph, to whom it was given the power to make things humanly impossible, brndame your help in the difficulty in which I find myself. Give him the most favorable solution to my cause. Since everything you can with Jesus and Mary, show me that your kindness is equal to its power.
To Saint Joseph I Cry, father and protector of our family, Imptranos the grace of living and dying in the love of Jesus, grant the restoration of love and a strengthened union. Saint Joseph, pray for us that we appeal to you. Amen!
My good Saint Joseph, since the good marriages are made in heaven, I ask, in all humility, for the happiness and privilege that you were given to be appointed as the husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Help me to find a holy husband (or a holy wife), with whom I can love and serve God and achieve the blessings he gives to families. Amen.
Father,
I lay at your feet all that I thought being a wife was meant to be. I have grabbed the steering wheel and almost crashed this thing a few too many times.
I repent of my tendency to control my husband. God, You were right (You always are) when You warned of this back at the beginning in the garden. Satan hates marriage, and He has mocked us long enough. I refuse to control my husband; I resist the temptation to do so, and I receive Your loving help to show me a better way.
I choose to respect him, and to reflect that respect in my words, tone, and demeanor.
Teach me to be grateful for him and to sincerely enjoy him. May my eyes display delight in my husband.
May my words empower and encourage him, always build up and never tear down. Help me to notice all the things he does well and to show my gratitude. Please keep me from the tendency to nitpick and nag and find things to complain about!
Teach me the ins and outs of how You have wired him, the nuances of his temperament. Help me accommodate those tendencies and adapt myself to him. Rid me of the tendency to expect him to think like me! Forgive me for this narcissistic view that my perspective is The Perspective.
Lord, make us a leadership team that understands and respects each other's roles. Deliver me from being quarrelsome, irritable and ugly.
Ultimately, I cannot expect You to make all these things happen without my cooperation; Your grace is what I need, yet there is effort on my part to work with Your Spirit and to allow Him to transform my mind through Your Word. So open up Your Word to me and change me from the inside out! Make me a wife that will make You smile. And make my husband smile!
