Prayer For Financial Crisis

Magnificent Father, I come to You for my financial miracle today! I turn to You, not to man because it is You who has everything that I need! It is You who sends poverty and wealth. You humble, and You exalt. You are in control of all things, and You are the supplier of all needs! I turn to You for my financial prosperity, I lift up Your name for my financial miracle! Amen.

"Let us pray today for people who are beginning to experience economic problems because they cannot work due to the pandemic, and all of this falls on the family," he said at the start of Mass March 23.

Nearly 25 million jobs may be lost worldwide due to COVID-19, the International Labor Organization estimated in a preliminary assessment report released March 18.

However, the impact on employment could be lower if there is an internationally coordinated policy response, similar to what happened during the global financial crisis of 2008, it said.

During his livestreamed morning Mass, the pope reflected on what true prayer requires.

Many times prayer can just be a mere habit of reciting a series of words, he said in his homily.

But authentic prayer comes from a heart filled with faith, he said.

"Let us be careful during prayer to not fall into a habit without an awareness that the Lord is there, that I am speaking with the Lord and that he is able to solve the problem," the pope said.

The second thing needed is perseverance, he said.

Some people may pray, but the graces are not received because "they don't have this perseverance, because deep down they are not in need or they don't have faith."

"If you have faith, you are sure that the Lord will give what you ask. And if the Lord makes you wait, you knock and knock and knock until he grants that grace."

If God is not answering one's prayers, there is a reason, the pope said. "He is doing it for our own good so that we take it seriously, take prayer seriously" and be more firmly rooted in faith, not just in parroting words.

"The third thing God wants in prayer is courage," he said, the courage to keep praying and sometimes arguing with God, like Moses, who stood up for his people against God's desire to strike them down for their sins.

"These days, it is necessary to pray, to pray more" and to pray with perseverance, courage and the faith that the Lord can intervene, he said.

"The Lord does not disappoint," Pope Francis said. "He makes us wait, he takes his time, but he does not disappoint."

God of all the world, give us wisdom in troubled times.
As we realise how fragile our systems of security are,
remind us how much more fragile they are for those who have nothing.
As we talk of financial crisis,
remind us of the true financial crisis for those who go to bed hungry.
As we face challenges over our own resources,
remind us that you teach us to share what we have.
Inspire us to live in a Christ-like way,
and to bring your peace to a world in turmoil.

Lord God, we live in disturbing days:
across the world,
prices rise,
debts increase,
banks collapse,
jobs are taken away,
and fragile security is under threat.
Loving God, meet us in our fear and hear
our prayer:
be a tower of strength amidst the shifting
sands,
and a light in the darkness;
help us receive your gift of peace,
and fix our hearts where true joys are to be
found, in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Lord, We need your help once again. We are in need of your assistance in our financial difficulties. I have acquired so much debt from so many people without any means to pay for it. I am the only one working in our family and my salary is used mainly to pay for our debt, leaving just a few for our daily needs.

I owe people money to cover or pay my other debts, in turn, my debt has snowballed and has gotten bigger. Please help my partner get a job so he can provide for our family.

Please Lord, I do not know where the money will come from, but I know that with your will, anything is possible. YOU always provide for us.

Please Lord, I am desperate and alone. I only have you to turn to. Please grant my prayers.

Lord, I come to You in this time of great need in the life of our organization. Whatever the cause, we find ourselves in extreme financial need.
First of all, Father, I come against the spirit of fear, in the name of Jesus. I refuse to operate in fear, anxiety or worry concerning this situation. I know it is serious, and I do not approach it flippantly. But I know that if there is fear, anxiety or worry in my heart, it will cloud my judgment and appraisal of the situation. It will make it seem even worse than it really is. It will also block my ability to hear from You.
Father, I give this whole situation to You and ask for Your guidance and direction in rectifying it. If it came about because of any bad decisions I made or any wrong thoughts or actions I engaged in, I repent to You right now. I ask You for forgiveness. Help me to see my mistakes and faults and to do all in my power to overcome and correct them.
Lord, if this financial crisis is the result of my negligence or my irresponsible spending, I ask You to forgive me. Help me to be sensitive to Your voice so that I may hear from You as I seek Your counsel. I open my heart to You. Show me what to do so that such a crisis as this one never occurs again.
Concerning the current need, I ask You to help me and to give me favor with those to whom we owe money. I thank You for an increase in sales so that our income can grow, knowledge so we will know where to cut expenses, and insight so we will know how to budget the money that we do have.
Thank You for supernatural wisdom so we can see how to walk out of this terrible situation. Help us to formulate a plan of recovery, a plan to get from where we are today to where we want to be tomorrow. Help me to communicate that plan clearly and effectively to the ones who will be involved in it.
Lord, send me counselors, those who can help me with this task. Send me people with wisdom and insight concerning this situation, that they might help me perceive and discern Your perfect plan for recovery.
Father, I give myself entirely to You. Thank You that I hear Your voice accurately and distinctly as You reveal to me what to do and how to do it. I ask You to help me identify the reason why we got into this crisis in the first place and to erect safeguards so that it will never happen again.
Thank You for Your forgiveness, Your help, Your wisdom and Your instruction. Thank You that we are totally and completely out of this crisis. I receive it by faith and thank You that it is done, in Jesus' name. Amen.
