Prayer For Evangelization
O God of truth and love, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, hear our prayer for those who do not know You, that they may come to a saving knowledge of the truth and that Your Name may be praised among all peoples of the world. Sustain, inspire, and enlighten Your servants who bring them the Gospel. Bring fresh vigor to wavering faith; sustain our faith when it is still fragile. Grant them wisdom and courage to proclaim Your message effectively, to endure the hardships they face, to trust in Your mercy, and to see all their sufferings as part of the suffering Your dear Son Jesus Christ endured on the cross and let the joy of the Holy Spirit working in their lives ever strengthen them in their resolve to see Christ proclaimed in every nation. Continually renew missionary zeal in ourselves and in the Church, and raise up new missionaries who will follow You to the ends of the world. Make us witnesses to Your goodness, full of love, of strength and of faith, for Your glory and for the salvation of the entire world. Through the Prayers of St. Paul, Saints Cyril and Methodius, St. Rostislav of Moravia, St. Maxym Sandovich, St. Herman of Alaska, St. Innocent the Enlightener and all the missionary saints, have mercy on us and save us. Amen.
O Mary, Mother of Jesus and Mother of his Church, we are mindful of the role you play in the evangelization of souls who do not yet know Him. We are mindful of how missionaries came with the power of Christ's Gospel and committed the success of their work to you. As the Mother of Divine Grace you were with the missionaries in all their efforts. And as Mother of the Church you presided over all the activities of evangeliztion and over the implantation of the Gospel in the hearts of the faithful. You sistained the missionaries in hope and you gave joy to every new community that was born of the Church's evangelizing activity. You were there with your intercession and your prayers, as the first grace of baptism developed, and as those who had new life in Christ your Son came to a full appreciation of their Christian calling.
We ask you, Mary, to help us to fulfill this mission of evangelization which your Son has given to his Church and which falls to us. Mindful of your role as Help of Christians, we entrust ourselves to you in the work of carrying the Gospel ever deeper into the hearts and lives of all the people. We entrust to you our missionary mandate and commit our cause totally to your prayers. To Jesus Christ your Son, with the Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit be praise and thanksgiving forever and ever.

Holy Mary, star of the new evangelization,
make us the light of the world.
We receive Christ in the Eucharist;
help us build the Kingdom in the world.
Teach us to do whatever He tells us.
May our study of His life lead us to love Him,
and our love for Him lead us to imitate Him.
If we are what we should be,
we will set the world ablaze and affect the culture.
We ask your intercession to make this so,
through Christ, our Lord.
Amen.
O Holy Spirit, our Advocate and guide,
help us open doors to Christ's saving power,
which alone is the source of hope for humanity
and the renewal of society.
Fill us with courage to respond boldly
to the call of St. John Paul II to evangelize the culture.
Enable us by Your grace to live our faith in the public square,
so that we may promote a civilization of love and a culture of life, and
may secure justice for every human person at every stage and condition of life.
We ask this through the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe,
and St. John Paul the Great.

Eternal Father, we ask you,
through your Son Jesus Christ,
and the intercession of Mary Immaculate,
Star of the New Evangelization,
to pour forth your Holy Spirit upon
the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
Through the gift of the Holy Spirit,
renew and transform us,
and make fruitful the work of evangelization.
Root us deeply in the heart of your Son
so that we may radiate him more fully,
sharing with others the Good News of
salvation in Christ, who alone
is the fulfillment of all human desiring.
Transform our parishes. Make of them
shining lights, beacons of hope
that reach those who are far from you,
drawing them back to your fold.
Consecrate us in your truth
and accomplish your plans in us
according to your holy will.
Amen.
Father in heaven and Lord of all,
establish your sovereignty
on the university campuses
of the world.
Draw young men and women into
a relationship with your Son, Jesus,
and direct their ways by the power
of your Holy Spirit.
Call them to a deeper service and love
of your holy Catholic Church.
Guide and protect the ways
of your labourers in the harvest
on all campuses.
May these witnesses continue
to reach out and transform
by your power
the lives of students on campus.
We ask this in your holy Name.

Lord, when you called Abraham, he responded, Ready
When you called Isaiah, he answered, Here I am Lord.
When the angel Gabriel called out to Mary, she responded,
I am the handmaid of the Lord. Let it be done to me according to your word.
Lord, I hear you calling my name.
I hear you entrusting me with the task of building your kingdom.
Like those holy men and women who have gone before me, I give you my yes'!
I will go anywhere you want me to go.
I will do anything you want me to do.
I will say anything you want me to say.
Holy Spirit I welcome you and ask you to guide me.
Form in me an apostle's heart filled with love for Christ and zeal for souls.
I will commit myself with courage and generosity to the New Evangelization.
I will build brick-by-brick, the city of God inside the city of man.

Heavenly Father,
Pour forth your Holy Spirit to inspire me with these words from Holy Scripture.
Stir in my soul the desire to renew my faith and deepen my relationship with your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ so that I might truly believe in and live the Good News.
Open my heart to hear the Gospel and grant me the confidence to proclaim the Good News to others.
Pour out your Spirit, so that I might be strengthened to go forth and witness to the Gospel in my everyday life through my words and actions.
In moments of hesitation, remind me:
If not me, then who will proclaim the Gospel?
If not now, then when will the Gospel be proclaimed?
If not the truth of the Gospel, then what shall I proclaim?
God, our Father, I pray that through the Holy Spirit I might hear the call of the New Evangelization to deepen my faith, grow in confidence to proclaim the Gospel and boldly witness to the saving grace of your Son, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
