Prayer For Drawing Closer To God
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for loving me. Thank you for forgiving me. Thank you for showing me my worthiness and for pursuing me. I am in awe of you Lord! I submit my heart to you. May your Holy Spirit transform me and make me like you. I pray that I can draw near to you. Please help me make time for you each and every day. I know that as I draw near to you, you will draw near to me. I want to be incredibly close to you Lord. I desire to have an intimate relationship with you, where I am transparent and let you know how I am feeling. As our intimacy increases, I pray that it encourages growth in my marriage as well in Jesus name AMEN!
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name's sake.
Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever (Psalm 23:1-6, NIV).
Lord, I long to have a deeper walk with you. You are my source of life and you have given me blessings in abundance.
I thank you for always looking after my interests and teaching me to look to you for all my needs. Reveal to me deeper truths about you so that I will know you in a deeper way.
May your Holy Spirit reveal more of you to me and give me a deeper knowledge of your ways. Help me understand your heart for people and your great love for them so that I can see them as you do. I will walk with you all the days of my life.
Search my heart and create more room for you in it. Increase the capacity of my spirit and fill me with more of you. Show me how to walk with you daily and to follow your leading. Being close to you is a choice I will make each day.

Lord, I draw closer to you because you have promised to draw closer to me. Thank you for your precious promises that give me comfort and strength.
Show me the way to everlasting life. I bare my heart before you and repent of everything that comes between you and me. Forgive my sins and cleanse me from unrighteousness.
Purify my heart that I may hear you clearly and obey your commands. Help me remove the distractions that get in the way of giving my heart to you in its entirety.
I will guard my heart and present it to you pure and holy.
Forgive me for where I have been double-minded. Give me the single-mindedness I need to focus my attention on you. Let me not look to the right or to the left but to keep my eyes on you.
Give me a renewed focus and help me not to veer off the path of righteousness.

Lord, I praise you for you are my God and Savior. You are my everlasting joy and I rejoice every time I am in your presence.
I want to be in your presence always to experience the refreshment that comes from your Spirit. The transformation that comes by being in your presence is immeasurable and life-changing.
Show me the path of life so that I will follow it all the days of my life. As I spend time with you, may I never lose direction in life but always follow your leading.
Nourish my spirit as I am in your presence and fill me with your treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Make my joy complete because I enjoy being with you. Light up my heart with your words of love and give me the strength to seek you daily.

Lord, let nothing separate me from you today. I want to keep drawing closer to you through your word, the only way, Jesus Christ. Teach me how to choose only you and direct my steps that will lead me closer to you. Help me to overcome temptations that might want to take me away from the right path. Protect me from misleading thought and keep me away from people that will direct me to the wrong path. Keep me close to you Lord. Amen.
Loving Father, I praise you because you are the Almighty God full of mighty power and there is none like you.
You are the Creator and sustain every living creature in the world.
You created each of us to worship and be in communion with you daily.
My heart longs to dwell in your presence every day because that is where your joy is.
Your word says if I draw closer to you, you will draw closer to me (James 4:8).
Today I draw closer to you through prayer and I ask you to help me experience you in a special way.
When I spend time with you, I feel refreshed and ready to face the chores of the day. My spirit feels light and trusts in you to take care of me every day.
Refresh me that I may be a fountain of living water that others can draw water from when they encounter me.
I want to bless others with the comfort you give me and the hope you fill me with as I seek your face.
Let me never tire of drawing closer to you because you are my God and my helper.
May the daily desire of my heart be spending time with you so I can get to know you.
Saturate my heart with your love which I can share with others around me.
It is when you pour out your love in my heart that it will overflow even to those whom I consider unlovable.
You have commanded me to love others and I can only do this when I am connected to you, the true vine. I will meditate on 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 that teaches me how to love others.
You are my refuge and my fortress and I put all my trust in you. The more I know you, the more I want to surrender to you.
You fill my heart with gladness and I can look forward to better days.
I'm glad because you have made your glory rise over me and have crowned me with your goodness.
In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
Father, in the Name of Jesus, I thank You that You desire to spend time with me, and You have even called me Your friend. God, Your Word says if I draw near to You, You will draw near to meand I want to be near to You. So, right now, in the Name of Jesus, I ask that You cause me to desire to draw near to You above everything else. Help me to have supernatural time-management abilities, help me to see clearly when I can set aside time to spend with You, and help me never to compromise that time.
Father, You said You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You. I know that to be diligent, I need to pursue You with passion and perseverance. Help me to put Your Word first in every decision I make, to pray continually throughout the day, and to look for opportunities to listen to teachings that will build my knowledge and understanding of who You are and what You want for my life.
I thank You that as I do these things, You will guide me into all truth, show me things to come, and anoint the works of my hands.
I praise You and thank You for these things.
