Give rest to my troubled heart and replace my fear with faith. You are eternally gracious, merciful and caring. Send your Holy Spirit to comfort me in the light of your glory and grace. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Everlasting Father, thank you that you are gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Your word says that when I pass through the waters, you will be with me, the rivers will not sweep over me, the fire will not burn me. As my grief feels overwhelming, I ask that you would hold me secure. Remind me that your strength is made perfect in my weakness. May your love be the passion in my heart. May your joy be my strength when times are hard. May your presence be my peace that overflows. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
