Prayer For Dead Baby
Lord Jesus we thank you for your gift of Love which we were happy to share with Baby's name.... and for short time you gave her to us, to know her, as she was lovingly snug in her mummy's tummy. May your guardian Angels watch over her until we meet with her again Amen.
Father in heaven we thank you for this precious life of baby's name....We ask that you will watch over her until her mother / fathers name... meet again, keep her safe in your loving arms in your heavenly Kingdom Amen.
God of all mystery, whose ways are beyond understanding,
lead us, who grieve at this untimely death,
to a new and deeper faith in your love,
which brought your only Son Jesus
through death into resurrection life.
We make our prayer in Jesus' name.
Amen.

Lord God,
from whom human sadness is never hidden,
you know the burden of grief
that we feel at the loss of - - - - - - - - .
As we mourn his/her passing from this life,
comfort us with the knowledge
that - - - - - - - . now lives in your loving embrace.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Lord God,
ever caring and gentle
we commit to your love this little one,
quickened to life for so short a time.
Enfold him/her in eternal life.
We pray for his/her parents
who are saddened by the loss of their child.
Give them courage
and help them in their pain and grief.
May they all meet one day
in the joy and peace of your kingdom.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen

You were a precious gift, our joy, our dreams.
You were a sparkle through the darkness;
Our hope for a brighter tomorrow.
You warmed our hearts, gave light to our minds, and beauty to our spirits.
We gave you our love, wrapped you in our care, caressed you with our smiles.
Now you are gone.
We grieve.
We miss you so much.
The loving memories of you will keep you forever close to us - - - in our hearts, our thoughts, our souls.
She was so small,
so beautiful,
so full of hope and promise.
What a blessing she has been
to all of us who knew her
those few short months.
She taught us to love,
to hope beyond expectation,
to trust in that which is unseen.
She drew us together
in our anxiety,
our moments of despairing and hopelessness,
as well as in our joys and delight,
and in her every breath.
Her life ended prematurely;
just so had she been born.
Too soon she died.
We wept.
The tears continue.
We hugged
and held one another.
The pain will always linger.
Our hearts emptier
for her absence
and the unfulfilled dreams
she promised.
But the love she brought
into our lives will live forever.
Thank you for giving her to us.
Thank you for the blessing
that she will always be.
Thank you for the love we
would never have known,
but for her
and her brief days with us.
Thank you for _____,
our blessed child of grace.
Amen.
Father of Mercies and Giver of All Comfort, receive the soul of this child into Your heavenly kingdom, surrounded by Your angels and the family who have gone on before. May her spirit rest in peace until her body is resurrected in the last days. Loving Father, pour out an abundance of healing graces on her family who are devastated by this unexpected loss. Guide them from darkness and despair to light and hope. Amen.
God, we may not understand the depth of grief from a parent who has lost a child. We may not know the loss of a child ourselves. Maybe we know a different kind of loss. Give us the clarity to remind ourselves that each and every life comes from you. Each child, no matter the time here, is perfectly made and loved for eternity. Let us reflect that truth back to those who mourn for the life of a child.
To You, O Lord,
we humbly entrust this child,
so precious in Your sight.
Take him/her into Your arms
and welcome him/her into paradise,
where there will be no sorrow,
no weeping nor pain,
but the fullness of peace and joy
with Your Son and the Holy Spirit
forever and ever.
Amen.
Thank you, God, that you care about us and that we don't need to carry this burden alone. Please lift up our friends who are mourning the loss of their sweet baby. Help them to cast all their worries, concerns, hurts, and suffering to You. Thank you that you care about them and their baby more than we ever could. We pray that their baby would be honored and remembered forever.
