Prayer for Mental Healing
Jesus, I know that when you walked on the earth, you trod upon hard places, you felt the strain of this world and the pressures of mental torment. So I ask that you would come besides me now, lead me through this time where my mind cannot cope. Help me to find peace and calming inner thoughts. You hold me safe Lord, I trust in you. Amen.
Lord, look upon me with eyes of mercy. May Your healing hand rest upon me, may Your life-giving powers flow into every cell of my body and into the depths of my soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring me to wholeness and strength for service in Your Kingdom. Amen.
Lord Jesus Christ, by your patience in suffering you hallowed earthly pain and gave us the example of obedience to your Father's will. Be near me in my time of weakness and pain; sustain me by your grace, that my strength and courage may not fail; heal me according to your will; and help me always to believe that what happens to me here is of little account if you hold me in eternal life, my Lord and my God. Amen.
God of infinite care,
how we long for your presence in this heavy time.
Our loved one, (name), is so sick, they may be dying;
we know they are suffering,
and we cannot be at their bedside to hold their hand.
Like so many other family members
who are separated from the sick through travel restrictions,
or levels of quarantine,
our hearts are torn open with grief and anguish.
We need your presence at that bed,
we want them to rally, we want them to get better!
Heal them, Lord!
Bless the nurses and the doctors who are caring for them.
We know that health care is so stretched right now,
give hospital staff the strength to have compassionate hands
and kind voices as they care for (name);
provide the resources and supplies they need.
Dear God, even as we pray for renewed health,
we know that this might not happen,
and so, if this is the end of (name)'s earthly life,
grant them peace.
We trust that you will speak the words to their heart
which we long to say,
words of love, of gratitude, words of blessing.
If this is the time of their ending,
let them pass in safety through the gates of death,
to live forever with you and all the angels in heaven.
Jesus, be their guide, whatever happens.
We trust in the power of your resurrection,
and that we will meet together in your kingdom,
where there will be no sorrow, or crying, or tears.
Hold us together through the power of your infinite mercy.
And now we pray, as you taught us to pray,
Our Father.
Dear God, thank you for your everlasting love. Thank you for the life of our loved one that is going through a tough time because of chronic illness. Give her the peace that surpasses all understanding in the midst of all this. Please help her to focus on you alone, for it is only you that can heal her. Lord, you resurrected Lazarus after four days; you will also revive her dead body organs. When the enemy attacks her with discouraging thoughts, remind her that nothing is too complicated for you. Help her to fight the good fight of faith until she gets out of this hospital. In Jesus' name, I believe and pray, Amen.
Lord Jesus, we come before you today asking you to bring calmness to our loved ones who are terminally ill. Remind them of your love as they go through this challenging time. Please help them to be faithful to the end. Remove anything that will bring fear and uncertainty in their hearts. As they fight this battle, remind them that they're not alone. You're holding them in the palm of your hand. When the time comes for them to depart from this world, usher them into your presence so that they can enjoy your glory. In Jesus' name, we believe and pray, Amen.
Dear Lord I ask for blessing for my cousin Helen who right now is in critical condition and fighting for her life. She is one of your earth angels Lord doing good at every turn. She is a true believer Lord you know these things your self. For her husband Darsen, Son and Father I also ask for blessing to help them through this difficult time Lord. Give them strength to be there for Helen. Lord selfishly I ask that you heal Helen as I believe Helen has not finish all that she is here to do. Thank you Lord for all that you have blessed me with, I am truly grateful. Thank you for the prayers, Lorna
O Lord our God,
You are the healer of all mankind.
In Your merciful love
you heal us of sin
and the effects of sin in this life
and the next.
We pray to you, our Lord,
this day to accelerate your plan of final healing
and glory for our loved one.
Call your beloved home
to the fullness of happiness
and glory with You for all eternity.
