Prayer For Celebration

Heavenly Father, we mourn for the life of (name of person). But, in the shadow of Your wings we shall rejoice. We rejoice for their life, we rejoice because of their impact on community. We celebrate their humility and commitment to You. So, as we continue to remember and reflect upon them, we shall rejoice who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn, Amen.

Dear Lord, to everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven; a time to be born and a time to die. So, as we journey together in this celebration of life service for (name of person), we rejoice in knowing that You are the resurrection and the life. So, we shall not mourn this day because You promised to wipe away every tear from our eyes. We celebrate their life and pray that Your light shall continue to shine upon us, Amen.

Dear Lord, we thank You for the life of (name of person). We acknowledge this day is a difficult day for some of us. But we take courage in their life and the act of love and care shown to others. (name of person) echoed the love and care You showed on the cross. So, Father I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. We celebrate their memories and ask that You fill that empty void in our hearts, Amen.

Heavenly Father, we thank You because You are the giver of life. Today, we celebrate life and the spirit of (name of person). Whilst we grieve for loved ones, we are assured that our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Lord Jesus Christ. As we pass through this life, we celebrate the life of (name of person), knowing that one day You shall transform their lowly body that it may be conformed to Your glorious body. Thank You Father for this life, Amen.

Dear Lord, Thank You for seeking and saving me by Your grace. Thank You for loving me when I was hard to love. (And for the times when I still am!) Help me to see others as You see them. Break my heart for what breaks Yours. Please use me to point others to Your hope.

In Jesus' Name,

Amen.

Dear Lord Jesus, there are so many sad and troublesome things to face in the world today, which too often cause our hearts to become weighed down with difficulties and doubts but I pray that Your joy would fill my heart and strengthen my soul.. and that times of joyful laughter would replace those seasons of weeping and hardship.
I pray that in Christ I may be clothed in strength and dignity, wisdom and grace and that I may be enabled to laugh in the storms and not to fear the future, knowing that our times are in Your hands and You have promised to draw near to each one of us.. and be with us in every circumstance of life that may come our way..
I pray that Your joy and laughter may flow through me to others who are facing similar difficulties and hardships and that together we may maintain an ever deepening trust in You as we look for Your any day return to take us to be with Yourself this I ask in Jesus name,
Amen

Loving God,

We give thanks and rejoice in the hard work, fun, and fellowship that our staff, volunteers, and all those unknown to us played in making our event a wonderful experience for all.

May we find gladness and satisfaction in all of our successes,
and even in our challenges and lessons.

May this experience of teamwork and sacrifice strengthen our bond as a staff and deepen our commitment to our mission to serve others.

Grant all us rest and renewal in the coming days so that we may continue to serve you faithfully and without ceasing.

We ask this in the name of your Son, Jesus the Christ.

Amen.
