Prayer For Bride On Wedding Day
My God,
On this great day I kneel before you at the dawn of a new life. Ahead of me lies a life of love joined to the woman I have chosen. I pledge to you fidelity, devotion and service to her. By myself I am not capable of this honored task but your help and grace will conquer all.
I need your presence. Make me the man you expect me to be. Mold me into another Joseph. Make me resemble that silent and just husband of Mary. Give me pure love and noble sentiments, a love as true as Adam and Eve's before sin tainted paradise.
Give me love for her which extends far beyond myself, which is not limited or measured by days, weeks, years. May it never fade when age and infirmities rob us of youth. Give us both an understanding of higher things; and make that knowledge blossom into wisdom.
Thank you for creating the woman I love; thank you for giving her to me. Amen.
May I, as a bride, be the wind beneath my husband's wings, the one who believes in him more than any other human, continually committed to supporting and encouraging him no matter what. And may I remind him I am not going anywhere and never will. I pray I will demonstrate the presence of the Holy Spirit's promise to never leave us abandoned. I will show full loyalty to my spouse.
May I follow him with grace when he doesn't lead well and with wisdom when he makes mistakes. No leader is flawless. Every good leader learns by failing. So when he fails, and he will, I will give him grace to try again, encouragement to keep going, and love that says, I'm with you forever, no matter what.
And as my wedding will be filled with dancing for joy over God's brilliant plan for the two of us and for all of us who are married, may we dance frequently throughout your lives.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the blessing of having (name) as a friend and for allowing me to share in the happiness of their wedding. Finding true love is a gift from you, which unites two hearts and two souls.
As they prepare for their wedding day, please place your hand upon the bride and groom.
Bathe their minds and hearts in your abundant peace over the many details that go into the planning. Help them to remember that although something could go wrong, it's okay.
Please allow everything to go smoothly on their special day and through the days leading up to it.
Don't let stress and protection rob them of joy. If there are details they have overlooked for the wedding, please reveal those things to them.
Any challenges that come up, please cover it with your mighty power to overcome.
Watch over and protect those who are traveling to attend the wedding. I pray for travel mercy over each traveler.
Please cover the ceremony and everyone in attendance with your protection.
Lord, as this couple joins hands and say their vows, help them to realize these vows are sacred as they come before you to promise themselves to one another.
May their home be full of the Holy Spirit and your presence reign over every room. Help them to come together daily to worship you and pray together to you.
Let them be ambassadors of your gospel everywhere they go.
Make them a role model for other couples. Help others to see you in them and their marriage. May they be filled with your Spirit submitting to one another and you. Place in them a passion for serving each other faithfully.
As they begin a family, may they raise their children to come to know you and follow you. Let their children reflect Christ in their own lives.
Father, we are filled with joy on this wedding day of my sweet friend. Grant them true lifelong love and temper their hearts with humility, kindness, and devotion.
Hold their hands tightly and walk with them through each day of their new lives together.

No matter what people have told her about marriage, let her go into hers with an open mind and a readiness to fight for her marriage. Remind her that it won't always be easy, but that marriage is such a gift. I pray that each year will be sweeter for her and her husbandno matter what hurdles they must cross. And that even when they go through tough phases, that they'll work through them together.
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
