Prayer For Blessing Of Oil
Lord, your word says that when we are sick, we should call the elders of the church to pray and anoint us with oil in your name. Father, we are setting this oil apart so that it can be used to anoint the sick in our congregation. Let your healing power rest upon it so that when we use it for your glory. The sick will be healed, and your name will be praised. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
"God, I pray that you anoint this oil in Your heavenly name. I pray that You cleanse it of any defilement in it or upon it, and that You make it holy for the work of Your glory. May this be done in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen."
Dear Father, I anoint your servant with this oil that has been set apart as holy. Let your servant be free today from every evil burden that has been weighing him down. Lord, I stand upon the authority that you've given us believers through your son Jesus, and I declare and decree that your servant is free from all spiritual burdens. Thank you for setting him free from poverty, sickness, depression, failure, bitterness, and sinful patterns. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
Lord, let everyone that this anointing oil touches be filled with your Holy Spirit. Lord, forgive their sins and release them from all kinds of sufferings that they are going through. Fill their hearts with your unconditional love and cover them with your wings of love. Keep their hearts free from fear and doubt and help them to focus on the sacrifice that Jesus made at the cross. God help them to stand firm in the healing that Jesus purchased for us at Calvary when the devil comes to steal their healing through lies and fear. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
Gracious Father, we come before you today, asking you for the powerful presence of your Spirit as we use this oil. As we apply it, help us to remember that it is only a symbolic representation of our faith in your sacrifice and healing power. We believe that as we use this oil, your son Jesus heals our bodies and answers our prayers. Let your healing virtue flow in us that we may become whole again and glorify your name. Grant, we pray, that those who will use this oil, which we are blessing + in your name, may be delivered from all suffering, all infirmity, and all wiles of the enemy. Let it be a means of averting any kind of adversity from man, made in your image and redeemed by the precious blood of your Son, so that he may never again suffer the sting of the ancient serpent; through Christ our Lord. God's creature, oil, I cast out the demon from you by God the Father + almighty, who made heaven and earth and sea, and all that they contain. Let the adversary's power, the devil's legions, and all Satan's attacks and machinations be dispelled and driven afar from this creature, oil. to all who are anointed with it
in preparation for their Baptism.
Bring them to a deeper understanding of the Gospel,
help them to accept the challenge of Christian living,
and lead them to the joy of new birth
in the family of your Church.
