Prayer For Baseball Players
Mighty Warrior, You are great in battle, it is because of You that these baseball players will be victorious, I pray that they do not accept the glory from human beings, even as the world chants and praises them, let each player redirect the praise to You because You deserve it. You are great and are great to be praised, Father! There is none like You and none above You. Amen.
God of Glory, Your word says that in the race, all the runners run, but only one gets the prize. So, You have commanded us to run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training, just as this team has. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but I pray that their priority is to get the crown that will last forever. Be with this baseball team so that they do not run aimlessly. Amen.
Mighty God, Your word says that whatever we do, we must work at it with all our hearts as if we were working for You and not for human masters. I pray that this team has this mindset as the train each day and have games. Let them acknowledge that they will receive an inheritance from You as a reward, for it is You they are serving. Although a trophy is a great incentive, You are the ultimate prize. Amen.
O God, my Strength, I know that this baseball team can do all things through You who strengthens them. I know that with You they can reach the finals and defeat the opposing teams. With You, they will be victorious both spiritually and physically. Have Your divine way in every game, and in every other thing that they do. I pray that Your Spirit continues to guide them as a collective and as individuals. Amen.
Jesus, my Savior, I pray that for these baseball players who hope in You, let their strength be renewed. I know that You will enable them to soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary both physically on the pitch and in their spiritual walks. They will walk and not be faint because You are for them, even when the opposition stands against them. Amen.
All-Powerful Father, as people we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, so let us reject whatever may hinder us and avoid the temptations that can trap us. Give this baseball team the perseverance to run the race marked out for them. Give this team the strength and ability to do well so that they may be recognized for their good works. Lord, I pray that You continue to be with this team so that they may stand out from the rest. Amen.
Sovereign Lord, I thank You for my baseball team as I know that Your hand is upon them. I pray that whatever their hand finds to do, they do it with all their might, for they are in the realm of the dead, and where they are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom. I pray that You keep them during practice and while they playing. Amen.
God grant me wisdom,
to tell a strike from a ball,
to know where to throw
and never to fall.
Keep me always in the base line,
running straight and true
and I'll look for your sign,
to stretch one into two.
God give me vision,
to see every pitch,
so if a player needs help,
then I will see which.
Let me always hustle,
so I'll be at my best
and take pride in myself,
in sports and the rest.
God be my strength,
when I throw the ball
when I'm far from home plate,
or against a wall.
So I never miss a base,
please guide my feet,
bring me home safely,
so my job is complete.
When I help younger players,
let me always give praise,
so they'll see you in me,
in all of my ways.
God please guide our coach,
to be fair and smart,
to teach us to be good,
let it come from his heart.
Let me take a loss,
just as well as a win,
to do any less,
is surely a sin.
As long as I can play,
let me make my parents proud,
as proud as I am,
when they yell MY name out loud.
However my games end,
let me always have fun
and if Heaven has All Stars,
I want to be one.
When my games here are over
and my seasons are done,
let me play on your team.
just like your son.
