Prayer For A Recruit For The Crucible

Dear God, We thank you for the guidance and protection you have provided our beloved recruits throughout their training. We pray that you continue to keep watch over them as they enter to the crucible. We ask that you and your holy angels surround them at all times. granting them unwaivering physical, mental and spiritual strength and perseverance. Amen

Almighty Father,
whose command is over all and whose love never fails,
make me aware of Thy presence and obedient to Thy will.
Keep me true to my best self,
guarding me against dishonesty in purpose and deed
and helping me to live so that I can face my fellow Marines,
my loved ones and Thee without shame or fear.
Protect my family.
Give me the will to do the work of a Marine and
to accept my share of responsibilities with vigor and enthusiasm.
Grant me the courage to be proficient in my daily performance.
Keep me loyal and faithful to my superiors and to the duties
my country and the Marine Corps have entrusted to me.
Make me considerate of those committed to my leadership.
Help me to wear my uniform with dignity, and
let it remind me daily of the traditions which I must uphold.
If I am inclined to doubt, steady my faith;
if I am tempted, make me strong to resist;
if I should miss the mark, give me courage to try again.
Guide me with the light of truth and grant me the wisdom
by which I may understand the answer to my prayer.

Dear God,
We thank you for the protection You have provided our recruits thus far, and we ask that You continue to watch over them as they enter into the Crucible. Father, we pray You come as close to them as possible giving them
extraordinary strength, both physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
help them be able to totally rest when they get the opportunity, help them to rationtheir food to sustain their energy and stay hydrated. Lord, help their minds to stay sharp even though exhaustion will set in, help them to focus on the positive, staying tuned into the moment, remembering their training, taking it one step at a time. Lord, help them to control their emotions whatever they may be as we are sure there will be many, especially fear, and doubt but keep these feelings far from these recruits' mind. Help them focus on the goal, but remember how far they have come, and that they will gain the reward. God, especially give them an unexplainable sense of peace that only You can provide. We pray that they will call on You and know You are with them every step of the way, and through knowing this they can do anything through You and with the strength You give them. God, we also ask that You give that same sense of peace to all of the recruits families. Father, that they continue to have the faith and trust in Your protection over their recruits. Lord we pray that at every thought they give to these recruits, especially during this time, it is met with relief knowing they are in Your care and You are carrying them if need be. We thank you ahead of time for helping them be the best recruit's they could be and the best Marines they will be.
in Jesus name, Amen.

Father, in the coming days I will need You, but my recruit will need You more.

Let him perform his tasks with a sense of duty, not of anger or vengeance.

Let his reflexes be quick and his hands steady.
Let his head be clear and his eyes sharp.
Let his mind and body be strong and his spirit stronger.

Christ, please stand by my recruit and watch his back when he cannot.

Father, I love this recruit of mine! Take from ME,
what he needs and give me what he does not.
I will pace the nights, if it means he gets some sleep.
I will deal with fatigue, if it means he will have energy.
I will carry his fear if it means it gives him courage.
I will take his pain, if it means he is healthy and whole.
I will take his anger, if it means he is at peace.

Take from me my love and pride and let him feel it! Let him know that I am with him every step of the way.

Please, take from me what You can; I give it willingly and with love.
It is all that I have besides my prayers.

Above all, please help my recruit achieve his goal of becoming a United States Marine. This I ask on bended knee, that which I cannot do without You.
