Prayer For A Missionary

reach their hearts
that they may feel our love,
our strength,
our faith.
May our prayers

that they continue
with your zeal
the mission
you entrust them with.
May their presence
in their community
be a reminder
of your presence among us.

Father, please direct our missionaries by your eye, instructing them and teaching them in your ways. Please uphold them with your righteous right arm. May the lamp of your word guide them today and may your words be found in their mouths as they speak to others about Jesus. Psalm 32:8:8, Isaiah 41:10, Psalm 119:105.
Thank you that the one who watches over Israel, neither slumbers nor sleeps. Please guard our missionary's going out and coming in, and may they remember that their help comes from the Lord. Psalm 121
God of Heaven's Armies, I come before You on behalf of the missionaries around the world. Their calling has taken them to places where Your enemy defends with great fierceness. Your enemy targets them because they seek to lead the lost to salvation. Please protect them against the invisible enemy with Your mighty arm. For the sake of those who will believe, teach them how to fight spiritual battles, and stand their ground. Be their shield, Lord, and guard them. Amen.
All-Powerful Lord, I come before You on behalf of those serving overseas in unsafe conditions. I want to ask gracious Lord, that You would cover each member of the family with a hedge of protection and watch over them as they come and go. I pray that You remove from before them any snares or traps of their enemies. I pray You keep them safe so that they can continue in their ministry. Amen.
Pray against discouragement, disappointment, fear, and doubt. Ask the Lord to bring people across their path who would encourage and uplift them. Be that person yourself!
Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever. They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord. Psalm 112:6-7
Missionaries can often feel as though they've sown much with a little harvest. Pray for their strength and endurance to run the race that the Lord would remind them He is working deep in hearts even when it seems like nothing is happening.
Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31
