Prayer For A Loved One In Jail

Heavenly Father, life in prison is very hard, especially for those who have gone there for the very first time. Lord, please comfort them, and give them the strength to face one day at a time. See them through these tough times and let them come to know you as the God that comforts them. Lord, even though they have sinned against you, I know that you have forgiven them and you're going to turn their lives around if only they can believe in you. Instead of looking for comfort in other things, please help them to turn to you. Remind them of how much you love them. In Jesus' name, I believe and pray. Amen.

Dear Jesus, because of your unconditional love we who were once prisoners to the devil are now free. But Lord, there are people in this world, especially those who are in prison that do not know about your unconditional love. Jesus, send the right people to preach to them the true gospel that they may know how much you love them and embrace that love so that they can experience true freedom even when they are still behind bars. I thank you, and I honor you highly for you are the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Amen.

Awesome God, creator of heaven and earth I come before you today to worship and bless your holy name. You are from everlasting to everlasting, and there is none like you, my Father and King. Thank you, Father, for making it possible for us to find our true identity in Christ and not in ourselves. Lord, I pray for people in prison that are struggling with their identity. Help them to know that their true identity is in Christ and not in what they have done. May they find freedom in Jesus and live a life that is pleasing unto you. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, while some of the prisoners are not sorry for what they have done, others feel guilty, and they are struggling with condemnation. Dear Lord, touch their hearts and help them to find hope in you. Help them to know that even though they have sinned, Jesus paid for their sins at the cross and they are no longer under condemnation. Help them to find hope in salvation and your love. In Jesus' name, I believe and pray. Amen.

Oh Lord, so many men and women have been locked behind bars for breaking the law. Lord, we know that you do not hate them, but you hate the sins they committed. Father, touch their hearts and bring them to full repentance. Please help them to see prison as a place where they have been given another chance to change their lives and become better people in society and for the kingdom of heaven. In Jesus' name, I believe and pray. Amen.

Awesome God, have mercy on your children that have been incarcerated in prisons all over the world. Let your light shine upon them that they may turn their lives around for the better. May they know who you are and your mercies towards them irrespective of what they have done. Please give them the grace to manage prison life and help them to become the men and women that you created them to be for the glory of your holy name. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Father, in the Name of Jesus, I thank You that You love me, and You love my friend or family member who is serving time in prison. Lord, I thank You for the power of forgivenessthat it wipes away sin, sets people free and makes all things new. I ask right now that You would soften the heart of my loved one, and cause them to repent and receive Your forgiveness in Jesus' Name. Let the power of the Holy Ghost wash over them right now in this moment, causing all fear or bitterness to leave.

God, I thank You that You are the great Comforter. I ask that You send supernatural comfort and strength to my loved one now.

Lord, I know there is violence within the walls of many prisons, but I pray supernatural protection all around my loved one. I send angels to protect them right now.

Father, I pray for a revival in the correctional facility where my loved one is and ask that the love of Jesus would permeate the atmosphere, break bondages and set people free. Send laborers to bring Your Spirit and Your truth, and let the Word of God become real to them like never before.

In the Name of Jesus, I cast the care of my loved one on You and rest in the assurance that You are working in response to my prayers, even now.

I thank You that Your Word does not return void, and therefore, my words spoken in line with Your Word will never fail to accomplish what they set out to do. I call my loved one forgiven, redeemed, healed, delivered and set free!

In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Lord grant your mercy to free me from the things that have me bound. Lord I ask you to set me free from everything that has attached itself to me to cause me to be bound, both spiritually and physically.

Lord I ask you to create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. As I walk out of those bars of confinement, let me never enter them again as an accused/guilty person. Wash me clean and make me whole. Help me to renew my mind to think like a free man. Help me to forget all the horrors I saw with my eyes and heard with my ears. Cleanse me of the filthiness of my surroundings. I thank you for the liberty in Christ Jesus. I thank you for receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. Thank you for preserving my life to bring glory to your name. As I seek your face, satisfy my longings in your righteousness. Thank you in advance for a saved wife that you have prepared for me. Thank you for my children that aren't born yet. Thank you that I might be a man to bring glory to your name and upbuild the kingdom. In Jesus name, Amen.
