Prayer For A Friend Who Died
God of Heaven's Armies, we are in shock and pain. We do not know how we will pull through this Lord. Our loved one has left us in the most unexpected way Lord. While we know that we are only here for a season, Lord, it is hard to come to terms with what has happened. Lord, we need divine strength in this family. Fill our hearts with courage and help us to accept that our dear one is now with you. Let this knowledge of them joining you in paradise be our source of comfort and strength. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
God of Immeasurable Mercies, we stand before you today in confidence because we know that death has nothing on us who believe in you. Have compassion for our relatives who have departed this world recently. Show them tender mercies for they sinned in one way or another before their sudden demise. We may have questioned and said things that are not pleasing to you. Lord, show us compassion and help us to accept what has happened so that we can heal. In Jesus' holy name, we pray. Amen.
O Lord God Almighty, creator of heaven, earth, and man, you know our end from the beginning. While we are feeling at a loss right now because of our loved one who departed this world recently, their death did not catch you by surprise. Lord, we know that they wronged you in one way or another. But you are a compassionate God. Forgive them of any sin that may block them from reaching your presence safely. Usher them into your presence through your mercy. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Compassionate and Gracious God, we come to you today to thank you for giving us a chance to live with our loved ones who recently left this world to come into your presence. Lord God Almighty, we know that they were not perfect; that is why we ask you to forgive them where they went wrong and give them eternal rest. May they find love and peace in your presence. Do not let our loved one to be parted from you, let your faithful servant enjoy your glory forever. In Jesus' powerful name, I believe and pray. Amen.
Almighty and Everlasting God, losing someone you love so much suddenly is very hard. As we go through this season of mourning heavenly Father, we ask you to give us the peace that surpasses all understanding. Father, we rest knowing that your faithful servant is rejoicing in your kingdom. We thank you and magnify your name for loving them so much that you saw it fit to take them back home where we truly belong. In Jesus' holy name, I pray. Amen.
O God, Who has commanded us
to honor our father and mother,
have compassion in Thy mercy,
on the souls of my father and mother;
forgive them their sins,
and grant that I may see them
in the joy of eternal brightness.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Lord, we bring before You today those who are having to go through such a tragic loss and pray that You would be very close to each one that is in mourning today over such a loss and are perhaps confused or even angry that such a devastating occurrence has overtaken them without any apparent warning.
You are the God of all comfort Who comforts us in time of need and we pray that for those that are facing such a difficult trial today. Uphold them we pray, and ask that You draw very close to them raise up we pray, the right people to minister to them and to be a genuine comfort and support at this time of tragedy and grief.
Lord, we don't understand why our loved ones should suddenly be removed from us through a sudden, unexpected death but Lord we trust You to soothe away the hurt in time for shall not the God of all the earth do right. In Jesus name, we pray,
Amen.
