Prayer For A Baby Having Surgery
Lord, you are all powerful, and yet you're gentle and present with us in times of need. It's times like now that we are reminded of our weaknesses, but we stand on your promise that your power is in us most beautifully when we are weak. I ask that you would give [name] strength and courage by your Spirit right now. In you, we can have a quiet confidence and rest securely knowing that we're in your loving hands. Even while we wait for the procedure, you say that you go ahead and prepare the way. Let your truth be a light for us to walk by, and help us to trust in your provision and guidance. In the strong name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Lord Jesus, you are the Prince of Peace. Just as you spoke to the wind and the waves that stormy night, I ask you to speak peace and quiet over any fears and worries in our hearts. You know [name] intimately, so I pray that you will guide the doctors and medical staff in your perfect wisdom to bring healing and restoration. We know that there is truly nothing that can separate us from your love, so I ask for your presence to stay with us to keep our minds focused on that is true and to guard our thoughts from anxiety and fear. Thank you for providing so faithfully. We love you and rest in your perfect peace today.
O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern ?my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. You hem me in, behind ?and before, and lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot ?attain it.
Lord,
I pray over my child and ask that you protect them during surgery and that everything would be successfully accomplished.
Give the surgeon the skilled hands and eyes to operate and I ask that you give guidance and wisdom over every person in the operating room.
Please give my child and us peace and help us as we place our trust in you completely.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the beautiful blessing of my child. I pray for your protection over my child's body during and after the surgery.
Being taken into an operating room can be frightening, so I ask Lord, that you give my child courage and that your presence would be felt right there next to him/her.
Please give the anesthesiologist and medical team wisdom, compassion, and steady minds to do their job well.
Hold my child's hand tightly while your peace floats warmly over them as he/she falls asleep.
Please give the surgeon clear, concise wisdom and reveal the things that they need to see to perform the surgery.
I pray that your hands would be upon the surgeon's hands, guiding them through every step.
Help our child to wake up peacefully from the anesthesia once in recovery. I pray for grace and mercy over any pain that may come during this time or afterward.
I pray for patience, strength, and peace over my mind, heart, and body while we wait. We place our complete trust in you Father and know your perfect will shall be done.
You are the Almighty Healer, and we completely give our child, the surgery, and our worries to you at this moment.

Dear Heavenly Father, You are a God Who has a special place for babies and young children in Your tender heart, and You know that we live in a fallen world where many babies and young children are often in danger, not only from external issues but even from those that care for them. And so we ask for Your loving protection to surround all babies and young children, and that You keep each one free from harm.
And so we entrust all vulnerable young children and tiny babies into Your loving hands for safe keeping, and pray that nothing evil will befall any one of them, and that they will be lovingly protected from any physical harm or emotional trauma.
Thank You, Lord, for hearing and answering prayer. May this generation of babies and toddlers grow up desiring to know more of You in the days that lie ahead. This we ask in Jesus' name,

Heavenly Father we want to bring before You the little new-born lives that are having to go through invasive and often complicated surgery so early in their little lives. Be near to each baby that is facing surgery today and we pray that You would guide the hands of the surgeons and other staff that are involved with the surgery, and provide them with the wisdom and skill to perform the surgery without complications.
We also lift up the parents and wider families of tiny babies that are facing surgery today and pray that Your perfect peace would guard their hearts and minds as they face the difficult task of seeing their precious baby being prepared for surger, having to hand them over and wait for the duration of the operation.
Lord, into Your hands we place these parents and babies. In Jesus' name,

For too long
My baby's been suffering
Now surgery is today
I am thankful
But also terrified
I've never been through this
And I feel so alone
And helpless
But Your Word says
You are my refuge and strength
An ever present help in trouble
You tell me not to fear
You say, Be still, and know that I am God
So I will, LORD
I will believe You and trust You
Please take care of my baby
Let the surgery go well
Thank You for the doctors, nurses and staff
And, most of all, God,
Thank You for being with me
For never leaving me
I love You, too
