I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.
Reflection
Christ offers himself not as a distant ideal but as daily sustenance — bread for the journey, food that truly nourishes the soul. Just as physical bread must be received and eaten each day, so the life of Christ must be received fresh each morning through prayer, scripture, and communion. The resurrection life is not a one-time event but an ongoing meal. Come hungry to his table today.
Prayer for Today
Beautiful One, I know that Your Son is the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Him will not perish but will have everlasting life. I believe in this word and declare it over my life, I declare it over this situation. Death is close, but Your word is closer, Your word brings truth and brings life to those who believe. Thank You for everlasting life Father; thank You for defeating death, Amen.
