Scripture Reading
Luke 15:4-5
"What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing."
Reflection
Jesus's parable of the lost sheep contains a startling detail: the shepherd leaves the ninety-nine to find the one. This is not the arithmetic of human risk management — it is the logic of divine love. Every single soul matters enormously to God. If you feel lost or far away during Lent, take heart: the Shepherd has already set out to find you.
Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father,
Please shine your light upon my family.
Give us strength to overcome all of the
difficulties that we are dealing with now
and protect us against any and all problems
we may encounter in the future.
O Lord, please bring us together as we
are meant to be. May the love that binds
us only grow stronger as we fulfill the destiny
you have laid out for us.
Grant my family forgiveness for any sins we
have committed. May we also forgive one
another Lord, as it is sometimes difficult to do.
Bless us Lord,
In your name I pray, Amen
