Scripture Reading

Joel 2:12

"Yet even now," declares the Lord, "return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning."
Reflection
The phrase "yet even now" is one of the most tender in all of Scripture. God does not say "if only you had returned sooner" or "it is too late." He says: right now, as you are, wherever you have been — return. The door of repentance stands open at every moment of Lent, and the God on the other side is gracious, not grudging.
Prayer for Today
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields and,
Until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

May God grant you always
A sunbeam to warm you,
A moonbeam to charm you,
A sheltering angel, so nothing can harm you.

May the Saints protect you
And bless you today
And may troubles ignore you
Each step of the way.

God be on your road every way you go.

Amen.
