Scripture Reading

Isaiah 40:28-29

Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.
Reflection
Isaiah's questions — "Have you not known? Have you not heard?" — carry a gentle rebuke and a great comfort. We forget. We get worn down and forget that we are connected to a God who does not get worn down. His strength is not diminished by our depletion; if anything, it flows most freely toward those who have nothing left of their own.
Prayer for Today
When the Lord turned around the captivity of the captive, they were like them that dreamed. Dear Lord, may you turn around the captivity of this good friend of mine and give her a new song. A song of victory, a song of triumph. It shall be well with you.

Stay blessed.
