Romans 8:26
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
Reflection
Some days prayer does not come easily — the words feel hollow or simply won't form. Romans 8 is a gift for those days: the Spirit steps in where language runs out. You do not need to have it together to come to God; in fact, your weakness is exactly where grace finds the most room to work.
Prayer for Today
Father, we thank you so much that we can all be together now to celebrate this special day with the celebrant. Thank you for this time of friendship, fun and food. Amen.
