Scripture Reading

Psalm 23:1-3

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Reflection
Psalm 23 is perhaps the most beloved passage in Scripture, and for good reason: it describes a God who tends to our deepest needs with intimate care. He provides rest, refreshment, and restoration. He leads — not drives — us in the right paths. The shepherd image conveys not power alone but attentive, personal love. Today, let this ancient psalm wash over you as a reminder of who is tending your life.
Prayer for Today
God our Father,
You have a plan for each one of us,
You hold out to us a future full of hope.
Give us the wisdom of Your Spirit
So that we can see the shape of Your plan
In the gifts You have given us,
And in the circumstances of our daily lives.
Give us the freedom of Your Spirit,
To seek You with all our hearts,
And to choose Your will above all else.
We make this prayer through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Amen.
