Prayer For Volunteers
O Mighty God, as the volunteers prepare to take part in their area of service You have called them for, I pray for their physical protection. As they step out to serve You, they all have bullseyes on their backs, and the enemy is making ready his fiery arrows. I pray Lord that Your shield of power and love would be over their every moment leading up and during their volunteer service. I pray that You let no weapon formed against to prevail. Go before them in all areas of their lives and keep them safely set apart for the service You have prepared for them. Amen.
Heavenly Father, thank You for our hospitals and the wonderful way that You have used many volunteers to share the gospel of grace, the love of Christ and the truth of the forgiveness of sins to those that are sick, suffering and in need.
Multiply the numbers of those whom You call into this valuable work, knowing that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
Lord, I also know that in many places in the world, it is much more challenging to share the gospel, especially in hospitals, surgeries and medical centres, but Father, I pray that You would protect all who are part of the army of volunteers who are called into this service, and pray that You would give many opportunities to tell others of the love of Christ, and to share the good news of the gospel of grace, so that many may be brought into the kingdom of God. In Jesus' name,
Amen.
Heavenly Father, the world is reeling from the effects of different storms and quakes and the many disasters world-wide, that can so quickly and unexpectedly shatter the lives of so many people and communities.
I not only pray Lord, that You would send volunteers into places that need help to cope with the disasters that they are facing, but I ask that You would prompt Christians to hear the call and take the gospel with them into these places that have been so devastated by a disaster.
Lord, I know that we live in a sinful world and that the whole of creation is groaning, as we wait for the Lord Jesus to return to set up His coming kingdom, but Father, I pray that You would use these disasters for good, by sending volunteers into such places where they may tell of the good news of Jesus Christ and bring many to faith in the Sacrifice that Christ gave on the cross to redeem all who would believe on His name. Lord hear my prayer, in Jesus' name,
Amen.
Loving Father, please fill each volunteer with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Stir their hearts to hunger and thirst after You. Father, bless them physically, spiritually, emotionally and financially. Bless their families, homes, jobs and/or businesses. Father, give them favor with all persons they come in contact with and help them to complete every assigned task. Lord, protect them and keep them safe. Help them to not get tired of doing good. Fill each of them with joy and pour out Your love upon them.
Forgiving Father, forgive each ministry volunteer for any acts of sinfulness. Forgive those for idolatry, dissension, strife, pride, rebellion, discord, jealousy, injustice, hatred and slander. Forgive those who murmur and complain. Forgive those who have impure motives for serving. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind our ministry volunteers of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show you names and faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He shows you, say aloud, I forgive names of person(s). Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, help our ministry volunteers not to yield to temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.
Triumphant Lord, You are the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power. You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Lord, as we gather here we remember that all we have in this world is first a gift from you that requires the collaboration of human hands. Thank you for all those who offer their time and talents, joining in our ministry of bringing healing, hope, and compassion to all those in need.
We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
Heavenly Father, I ask You to raise up a great army of praying men and women, prayer warriors, who will seek your face day and night to discover how to pray into Your will and for whom to pray.
Raise up a mighty army of prayer volunteers, who will give their lives to seek Your face and to pray into Your will in these increasingly dark days.
Raise up men and women who will humbly and faithfully seek Your face, so that they know how to lift up the needs of the people of the world and the governments of the nations. And Lord, bless these people who are quietly acting as watchmen on the wall prayer volunteers who are being used by You, to Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name,
Amen.
Almighty God, our heavenly Father, the privilege is ours to share
in the loving, healing, reconciling mission of your Son Jesus Christ, our Lord,
in this age and wherever we are.
Since without you we can do no good thing, may your Spirit make us wise;
may your Spirit guide us; may your Spirit renew us;
may your Spirit strengthen us; so that we will be: strong in faith,
discerning in proclamation, courageous in witness, persistent in good deeds.
This we ask through the name of the Father. Amen.
Everlasting God, strengthen and sustain all those who volunteer in our churches;
that with patience and understanding they may love and care for your people;
and grant that together they may follow Jesus Christ,
offering to you their gifts and talents;
through him who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
