Prayer For Someone Fighting Cancer
Jesus helped people come into contact with their divine source, with God the Father and Creator, and from there overcome their illness. Doctors, on the other hand, make a diagnosis and then tell them what the patient can expect, thus triggering their own expectations and planting this expectation in the heart of the patient.
Lord, I claim that place of rest under the shadow of the Almighty. I declare you alone are my refuge and my place of safety. You are my God and I trust in You! You have promised to rescue me from every trap and protect me from every disease. You've promised to cover me with your feathers and shelter me under your wings! Your promises are my armor and protection.
I will not be afraid of the terrors of night or arrows that fly by day. I will not dread the disease that stalks in darkness nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though 1000 fall at my side and though 10,000 are dying around me, these evils will not touch me!
I open my eyes and see how the wicked are punished. I have made the Lord my refuge! I have made the Most High my shelter no evil will conquer me! No plague will come near my home. Lord you have promised to order your angels to protect me wherever I go. They will hold me up with their hands so I won't even hurt my foot on a stone. I will trample on lions and cobras. I will crush fierce lions and serpents (demons) under my feet.
Lord you have promised to rescue me because I love you. The Lord will protect me because I trust in the name of Jesus. When I call, you will answer. You have promised to be with me in trouble. You have promised to rescue me and honor me and reward me with a long life and give me your salvation. Amen
Father God,
I come to tonight knowing and believing with my heart that you are the greatest physician of all. I give you thanks and glory that you can do all things. You said in your Word anything thing we as believing it will
come to pass you will grant. I plead the blood of Jesus over Janet. Heal her lungs. Destroy all cancer cells in her lungs and her body. Cancer I rebuke you by the blood of Jesus and cast you to the post of hell from where
you came. Cancer you have no power over Janet. Thank you Lord for your love and grace. In Jesus precious name I plead.
God of healing mercy, in Jesus your Son you stretch out your hand in compassion, restoring the sinner, healing the sick, and lifting up those bowed down. Embrace us now in your loving care, particularly those afflicted with cancer, for whom this intention is offered. May the Spirit of Jesus bring us all health in soul and body, that with joy and thanksgiving we may praise you for your goodness...
My God, my Father, I come to You on behalf of my friend/family member to ask You to supernaturally intervene and heal them. I know that You never waste suffering and trials, so help me and them to look for Your purpose in all this for we know there is (Rom 8:28). I ask You to comfort them and their family, help them to deal with this life and death struggle, help them to be grounded in the assurance that even death cannot separate them from God (Rom 8:31, 38). Thank You for that promise that brings comfort to those who are losing their battle with cancer. I pray it is not my friend/family member, but if it is, then help them and their family (and me) accept it as much as possible, knowing that this is not the end but the beginning of a truly magnificent and eternal life in the presence of God (Rev 22) so nothing is lost. In Jesus great name I pray, amen.
Father,
We come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ, interceding for all those facing a cancer diagnosis. Your children are being attacked not only with this infirmity but with thoughts that fill them with fear and dread.
And yet, I know Your word says You did not give us the spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. Lord, we cast these thoughts and cares aside and choose to think on Your goodness and mercy.
We choose to think on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report; things with virtue and praise. We choose to think about You. You keep your children in perfect peace when they keep their minds stayed on You. Help your children set their minds and affections on things above, not on their cancer diagnoses.
Guard their hearts with all diligence. Don't let these thoughts move them from Your presence. Father, You are holy and just. And You love them unconditionally. Thank You for being here for your children in their time of need. Thank You for sending Your Son so they can have eternal life.
Lord, I pray for continued strength to endure. I believe that even this cancer diagnosis will work together for their good. Father, bless their families. Strengthen them. I know it isn't easy watching a loved one endure a cancer diagnosis. Renew their minds and encourage them. Reassure them that they are in the palm of Your hand.
Father bless all their doctors. Give them the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to treat these illnesses. Be glorified through their lives. Use them as You will. Use them as an instrument of praise. Use them as an instrument of worship. Use them as a testament of Your goodness, grace, and mercy. Use them to impart hope and faith in others.
We trust You, even in the midst of this trial. Be glorified, Father. Lord, I rebuke the spirit of fear. Through Your strength, your children will not allow fear to take control of their minds or spirits. They have the victory over cancer through Christ Jesus. Help them to always be a light. Let others look at them and see Christ, not suffering. Let others look at them and see hope and health, not death.
Father, You are the God of all comfort. Use them to comfort others with the comfort You supply.
Thank you, Lord, for everything You do for your children. Thank You for loving, protecting, and healing us. Thank You for being our great physician. Never take Your presence from us. We need it in life and death.

Lord, at the moment nothing seems to be able to help the loss I feel.
My heart is broken and my spirit mourns.
All I know is that Your grace is sufficient.
This day, this hour
Moment by moment
I choose to lean on You,
For when I am at my weakest Your strength is strongest.
I pour out my grief to You
And praise You that on one glorious day
When all suffering is extinguished and love has conquered
We shall walk together again.
Heavenly Father, Give all cancer fighters comfort when they are in pain. Lay your healing hand on all and remove every cancer cell so that they may be healed! Amen
