Prayer For Sickness And Pain
Merciful Jesus, you are my guide, the joy of my heart, the author of my hope, and the object of my love. I come seeking refreshment and peace. Show me your mercy, relieve my fears and anxieties, and grant me a quiet mind and an expectant heart, that by the assurance of your presence I may learn to abide in you, who is my Lord and my God. Amen.
Lord, look upon me with eyes of mercy. May Your healing hand rest upon me, may Your life-giving powers flow into every cell of my body and into the depths of my soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring me to wholeness and strength for service in Your Kingdom. Amen.
Lord Jesus Christ, by your patience in suffering you hallowed earthly pain and gave us the example of obedience to your Father's will. Be near me in my time of weakness and pain; sustain me by your grace, that my strength and courage may not fail; heal me according to your will; and help me always to believe that what happens to me here is of little account if you hold me in eternal life, my Lord and my God. Amen.
God,
Thank you for this amazing, beautiful and strong body you have given me. I know my body is a temple designed by you. During this pain I am feeling, I will stay positive in knowing you have a plan for me, and I was given this body for a reason. No amount of pain will ever divert me away from you. I thank you for looking after me, and I lift up my gratitude as you wrap your healing arms around me. My body and mind are strong because I am a part of your team. I will always have the holy trinity working through me.

Please fill me with trust to listen and work with my doctors, to believe that they have my best interest at heart, and give me strength to not take my frustrations out on them. Accepting help isn't always my strong
suit, and I come to You now asking for assistance during this time. I don't know all the answers and I never will. You put people in my life and direct me to those who can help me. Please let me accept them and be healed
from this pain. I know that you are working through them to help heal me. I pray that I remember that always.

I know only you can help this pain vanish away. I plead for peace and serenity as I fight off the pain I am feeling. Send your hand down to me and fill me with your strength. I cannot take this pain any longer without your help! Release me from this hold and restore me. I trust in You to give me the strength to get through this. I pray that the pain will be gone! It will not hold me down because I have the Lord on my side.

Lord God,
I wish I could take away their pain. It is so hard to see them suffer and not know how to help. So I came before you God, our restorer, and our redeemer. I know that you took their pain upon yourself when you died on
the cross. So I ask in your name for healing for them. Come now in the power of the Holy Spirit and restore this child of yours. I pray they no longer have to bear this weight on their shoulders. I pray that they also look
to turn themselves to you during their time of struggling.

Lord, I feel worn down by reoccurring pain I have. It makes every small thing feel like a big deal. Please help me to manage this illness and continue to find time to rest and treat the pain. Most of all Lord please touch the area of discomfort and bring healing. Please flood the inflammation with warmth and bring the swelling down. Come release the muscles that are tight and bring your restoration. May my waking hours be restful and my sleep be peaceful.
I ask all this in the name of Jesus, my Savior and my friend.
