Prayer for Saint Valentine's Day

For Use on February 14 or Other Occasions

Saint Valentine is no longer celebrated in the general calendar of the Catholic Church but, nevertheless, his day is popularly celebrated as a romantic holiday throughout the world. This is a modified version of the traditional prayer used during the celebration of his feast.

Prayer for Saint Valentine's Day

Grant, we pray, O Almighty God,

That we who celebrate the festival of Saint Valentine, Your martyr,

May, by his intercession, be delivered from all the evils that threaten us.

Through Christ, our Lord.

Amen.
