Prayer For Patience With People
God, I ask for patience with the people around me. I know I sometimes don't understand what my parents are thinking. I get that they love me, but I so often lose my patience with them. I don't understand what some people are thinking when they steal, cut in line, hurt others. I know you ask me to be patient with them and forgive them as you forgive us. It's in my head, so Lord, I ask that you instill it in my heart, too. I need more patient with those that annoy me. I need more patience with those that wrong me. Please fill my heart with it. Amen
Lord, I wish I could say that I'm perfect all the time when it comes to patience, but I wouldn't be praying for it if I was. I ask also for your forgiveness when I slip up and lose my patience with those around me...and you, too. I can sometimes be human and do the wrong thing, but Lord I never mean to hurt you or anyone else. I ask for your grace in those moments.
Thank you, Lord, for all You are, for all You do. In your name, Amen.
Almighty God, the Great Thumb we cannot evade to tie any knot, the Roaring Thunder that splits mighty trees, the all-seeing Lord on high who sees even the footprints of an antelope on a rock mass here on Earth, you are the one who does not hesitate to respond to our call. You are the cornerstone of peace.
O Great Spirit of our Ancestors, we raise the pipe to you, to your messengers the four winds, and to Mother Earth who provides for your children. Give us the wisdom to teach our children to love, to respect, to be kind to each other so that they may grow with peace in mind. Let us learn to share all the good things that you provide for us on this Earth.
Lord I feel my cross is too heavy to carry. I surrender my worries to You Lord. Help me get through all my work troubles. Please help me through all accusation and clear my name. That all these too shall pass, that I may see the light at the other side
of the tunnel.
Make me more patient so I can hold on until you turn things around for my favor. I ask this and your forgiveness through Your Son Jesus Christ, my savior. Amen.
Father,
We praise You for the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and Your alive and active Word, continually sewing our heart together to mirror Your Son, Jesus. Patience isn't easy, but it also isn't ours to create in ourselves. Thank You for working in us what we do not have the ability to otherwise. When injustice smacks into our reality, it's hard to let You make the first move. When the people in our lives press our aggravation, it's difficult to submit to the power of the Holy Spirit in us. We want to take control and strive for solutions. Forgive us for allowing our temperaments to speak first. AMEN
Lord, we ask that You would guard the spiritual pulse of our inner heart and pray that You would give us the grace to persevere under this constant barrage of family criticism. Give us the wisdom to know when to speak and when to remain silent, and may our love for You eclipse any intimidation we may feel from family criticism and ridicule, and give us grace to remain a faithful and true witness to You. Lord, help me to be patient with great understanding because an individual who isn't and is quick-tempered, displays foolishness. I pray that here on earth, I reflect You in all ways and that Your understanding will govern my behaviour. Let patience have its way within my heart so that I can reflect a God-like patience to those around me. Let Your understanding shape me as a person so that I can reach and understand those who need You. Amen.
