Prayer For Our Country Philippines

ather of all nations and ages,

we recall the day when our country

claimed its place among the family of nations;

for what has been achieved we give you thanks,

for the work that still remains we ask your help,

and as you have called us from many peoples

to be one nation,

grant that, under your providence,

our country may share your blessings

with all the peoples of the earth.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,

who lives and reigns with you

in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

one God, for ever and ever.

Amen.

Grant, we pray, O heavenly Father,
a clear and united voice to all your sons and daughters
gathered in your Church
in this decisive hour in the history of our nation,
so that, with every trial withstood
and every danger overcome
for the sake of our children, our grandchildren,
and all who come after us
this great land will always be one nation, under God,
indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

We ask that You turn the heart of our President into a man with discernment and wisdom, and the courage to put the honour of God first and the cause of Christ Jesus at the forefront of his decisions and actions, so that we may once again return You to Your rightful position, at the helm of our once great nation.

Fulfil now O Lord, the plans that You have purposed for our President and for our country. We pray that Your sovereign purpose for our nation be carried out in our land, and may we cry, "Your will be done." In Jesus' name,

Amen.

Heavenly King, we place our nation at your feet, and pray that we may once again serve You as a nation. May Your will be done in the once greatest nation of the world, Amen.

Father, we seek inquire for, require, and request the peace and welfare of __________, in which You have caused us to live. We pray to You for the welfare of this city and do our part by getting involved in it. We will not let [false] prophets and diviners who are in our midst deceive us; we pay no attention and attach no significance to our dreams that we dream or to theirs. Destroy [their schemes], O Lord; confuse their tongues, for we have seen violence and strife in the city.
Holy Spirit, we ask You to visit our city and open the eyes of the people, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may thus receive forgiveness and release from their sins and a place and portion among those who are consecrated and purified by faith in Jesus.

Father, You see the regional and cultural strongholds that would hinder the Gospel. You have told us to declare Your works. So we say boldly that the prince of the power of the air, the god of this world who blinds the unbelievers' minds (that they should not discern the truth), is a defeated foe. We declare on the authority of Your Word that You have disarmed the powers and authorities; You made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the Cross. Thank You, Father, for the spreading of the Gospel. Amen

As a nation, God, help us to desire righteousness more than rights, and to mirror sacrifice more than selfishness. You know us well, and You understand our flaws. Turn those weaknesses into strengths; bathe us with Your grace and mercy, though none of us deserve it. Fill us with the boldness to choose the kind of freedom that will benefit all, rather than a few. Open our eyes to see others as You dowith godly potential and value. But help us, too, to recognize our own pride in trying to elevate ourselves and others above You and Your purpose for our lives. Amen

We look to You and to You, only, Lord. Help us make wise decisions that move our country in the right direction. Help us to do our part in praying and in staying with what we know is right according to the truth of Your Word. Teach us to make our actions count and our words matter, and line them both up to Your sense of rightness, not ours. Guide us with Your eye; grip us with Your strong arm; teach us what we need to know to make our livesand our nationcount for you. We pray for our leaders, but we ask You to make us both leaders and followers: leading in the way of Truth, and following those who honor You.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus,
Amen
