Prayer For Night Protection
Lord, I thank You for the blessings of this day.
Please help me to see these blessings as Your divine presence in my life.
May I turn from sin and turn to You.
Your presence in my life brings great joy;
My sin leads to sorrow and despair.
I choose You as my Lord.
I choose You as my guide
And pray for Your abundant blessings tomorrow.
I am placing my soul and my body in your sanctuary this night, O God, in your sanctuary, O Jesus Christ, in your sanctuary, O Spirit of perfect truth, the Three who would defend my cause, nor turn their backs on me. Father, who is kind and just, Son, who overcame death, Holy Spirit of power, keep me this night from harm, the Three who would justify me, keep me this night and always.
O Lord, let your tranquility dwell among us, and let your peace remain in our hearts. May our voices proclaim your truth, and may your cross be the guardian of our souls. Beloved Shepherd of our souls and bodies, you never slumber nor sleep. Spread your holy protection over us and cover us with your mighty wings, that no terrors of the night may disturb us, and let your divine majesty watch over our minds while we sleep; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Lord, I am feeling uncertain about what I'm facing. Please guide me and help me to cope with what is unfolding, Please also grant me the peace that only you can give. Amid my worries, please come alongside me and sustain me. I know that I can put my trust in you. Please grant me reminders along the way, so that I do not become overtaken by the unknown. Please help me to wake up with a fresh and renewed perspective. In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
Dear Father, I admit that I often forget that You are with me. I often forget what You're like. Would you please forgive me for that? I need to get to know You better. I need to get to know Your Word and Your promises better. Help me to put You first in every area of my life. Help me to live one day at a time. Help me to not worry about tomorrow but instead focus on what You're doing in my life right now. I want to trust in your promise to take care of every one of my needs financial, relational, physical, social, spiritual, and emotional. Help me to trust You more and worry less. I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
Heavenly Father, who gives rest to His children will You wash over me a peace that passes all understanding as I lay down to sleep tonight? I ask that You would ease the load of the burdens I am carrying. My desire is to be an effective mother, wife, and friend and I know my attitude, energy level, and spiritual life will not be sufficient to do this if I don't have the deep spiritual rest You long to give me. Be merciful, O Lord, and give sweet sleep to Your child. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
You've told us we are just like sheep. And that you lead us and guard us like a shepherd. You know our names, and you make us feel special and loved. When we hurt, you help us feel better. Thank you, Jesus, for your good care and for giving us [mom/dad/parents/foster parents/pastors] to help. Thank you for the Bible, and for teaching us stuff in life that helps us grow. Bless the people in our world, and help them to know you love them, too. Thank you for all the people who help us so much: teachers, doctors, policeman, and firemanand so many more.
