Prayer For Myself As A Wife
I pray that our commitment to You and to one another will grow stronger and more passionate every day. Enable him to be the head of the home as You made him to be, and show me how to support and respect him as he rises to that place of leadership. Help me to understand his dreams and see things from his perspective. Reveal to me what he wants and needs and show me potential problems before they arise. Breathe Your life into this marriage.
Lord, Help me to be a good wife. I fully realize that I don't have what it takes to be one without Your help. Take my selfishness, impatience, and irritability and turn them into kindness, long-suffering, and the willingness to bear all things. Take my old emotional habits, mindsets, automatic reactions, rude assumptions, and self-protective stance, and make me patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle, and self-controlled. Take the hardness of my heart and break down the walls with Your battering ram of revelation. Give me a new heart and work in me Your love, peace, and joy. I am not able to rise above who I am at this moment. Only You can transform me.
Father, daily work in me to become the wife of my husband's dreams. One he can love easily, trust fully, laugh with, cry with and grow old with. Make me new; totally transformed, fitting perfectly into the plan You have for his life and our marriage. Amen.
Transform me, Lord. Remind me to not expect my husband to fill me in ways only You can. Help me lay all expectations at Your feet. Help me accept him the way he is and not try to change him into what I want him to be. At the same time, I release him to You to mold and shape and grow into the man You created him to be: a man so much greater than I could ever hope to make him.
Lord, I affirm that
You are the Lord of the workplace as well as the place of worship, and I owe complete allegiance to You in all places
all work that meets legitimate needs is Your work to be done in Your way and for Your glory
prosperity comes from You and is a gift to be used for Your glory, not my ease
while You made all things for me to enjoy, true satisfaction comes only from You
Lord, I long to see Your will done on earth as it is in heaven and ask that I would recognize that all prosperity comes from You and desire to use it for Your glory. (Deut. 8:18)
I would use my business resources, influence, and capital to benefit the citizens of Your world with less opportunity (Jer. 29:7)
Lord Christ, you came into the world as one of us, and suffered as we do. As I go through the trials of life, help me to realize that you are with me at all times and in all things; that I have no secrets from you; and that your loving grace enfolds me for eternity. In the security of your embrace I pray. Amen.
Lord, I come before you today in need of your healing hand. In you all things are possible. Hold my heart within yours, and renew my mind, body, and soul. I am lost, but I am singing. You gave us life, and you also give us the gift of infinite joy. Give me the strength to move forward on the path you've laid out for me. Guide me towards better health, and give me the wisdom to identify those you've placed around me to help me get better. In your name I pray, Amen.
